I don't understand why anyone would die of E. coli. It comes from bad washing and or undercooking of food. My mycrobacteria professer allways say its not the bacteria that kill you its the doseage. This bacteria is everywhere its just in small dosages. In america it was found out that hamburger where sit in hot bend for hours up to 24 hours allowing bactiria to grow to large dosages. When there is a case of disease, it cannot be contained. It can't even be located. This unlike if you were to buy your food locally. Typically with big food corporations, numerous produce types get processed at the same plant another spreading vector.
