Depending on your light exposure technique, you may not have exposed the image long enough. A minimum of 45 mins is required per the instructions in a dim environment.
so i am using speedball diazo emulsion and i exposed my screen for 30 mins and nothing. once i wash the emulsion out all of it is gone the screen clears out. so i am trying to figure out what is wrong.
It's not always necessary to apply the emulsion in darkness, as long as there is no strong, direct light hitting it. After it dries however, one must be more careful.
It is really a very fabulous job you have done. I am really enjoying this. Hey check out printfly on google and create a variety of custom t-shirt design.
@Heartdelay i know im a printer, thats just an old ass way of doing it. i've been digital since i started. And there is no need to insult me or my comment.
@bmx48OtE I guess that would depend on the strength of the sun and the thickness of your emulsion. But doing it outside with the sun sounds like a bad idea, as you very little control... but I'm no expert, so to be honest with you I don't know. You could give it a try though, and let us know how it went...
@bmx48OtE That's a great question. It's difficult to judge the amount of time to expose the emulsion. Some fluids will list the recommended time, but you'll usually just have to determine time by trial and error.
Nice tutorial. Very well done. I like the narration. Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing and heat transferring tee shirts. Questions welcome.
were can i find emulsion, ive been to michaels joans and shit and i still kind find emulsion... can anyone tell me were i can get emulsion?? i live in cali
@vsk909 if you live in la. go to mclogans or utrecht and maybe blick. look it up on google they all have websites and show working hours and store locator for these stores.
Can someone help me, how do you create watermarks using screen printing process?

Probably the most foolproof method of screen printing I've come across. Thanks! Really helpful to me.

@bmx48OtE YOU ONLY HAVE TO EXPOSE YOUR EMULSION FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS. LONGER THAN THAT WILL DESTROY YOUR DESIGN.

nice video although the registration was off a bit on the final print. not by much though. i don't think anybody but a screen printer would notice.

yea, you can use any frame that you can stretch screen across, as long as it sets flat on the table.

@blackbeltbrown yeah. thats what i'm using.
