  • I must work for a sucky franchise we only get 25 cents a mile , and 5.15 an hour we don't get a cut of the delivery fee.

  • companies are greedy. it will only get worse

  • Maybe you can just sit around on your fat ass and people will just send you money. Then you can tell them how much you deserve. I'm guessing that would be a big FAT $0!

  • Lol you're lucky you weren't at my dads UPS cus he kicks peoples asses who stay outside the place.

  • @AoCranger I wish we could have stayed outside and not delivered to most of the ungrateful asses that work for UPS. Some of the people were nice and tipped, but a vast majority didn't and they were rude and they expected us to get their food there at a specific minute, yet almost all of the time, we had to stand around a long time waiting for them to get their sorry butts to the door to get the food. Almost every other business in town would tip good.

  • @AoCranger Also not mentioned in the video was the fact that we couldn't take any other delivery orders for lunch because of making their 160 pizzas and delivering them to 4 separate locations.

I moved away from Louisville 2 years ago and miss the job and most of the people, but not UPS. Your dad sounds like the typical prick who doesn't tip.

  • @VideoAxe

lol how? p.s. my dad always tips a 5

  • He's lucky UPS called his store for pizza. I bet they don't anymore!

  • hey video axe, you are not a restaurant. You are a pizza delivery driver. I think you are looking for the big buck from big brown. Maybe you should try Memphis Tn. where Fed EX is located and see if they would like pizza from your company. I highly doubt it. This stupidity would deter any company from patronizing you, or your company. Good luck with your protest. I' sure you are now more advanced by being negative.

  • @Rockdog1961 better for the drivers if they don't

  • i support this man. have delivered to lowe's a few times on $200+ orders and gotten exact change......I hope they enjoy our new "cold and shitty" style pizza.

  • that video is awsome

  • If I was your boss/owner you WILL be looking for other job, for bad mouth the store customer. Without UPS Louisville will not be as good on city to live in. WTF? Who in the he!! tip pizza driver 15% I only tip $5. for 1 or 10. Come on and grow up. If you don't like you job GET a new one!!!!!!

  • Do you only tip a waitress $2 regardless if you order a cup of coffee or a $100 dinner? She is doing the same amount of work regardless, right? Would you defend UPS the same if they took a large party to a restaurant, requiring 2 waitresses to give them sole attention for 2 hours, and then leaving a 7% tip? Why is it different for pizza delivery? Not only are we giving you the best service we are capable of (usually), we are using our own vehicle, our own gas, and risk of traffic to save you...

  • But you make $6.00+ and waitress make only $2.00

Do you tip the loader at Frank Otte for loading you mulch and/or plant in your car? Do you tip the delivery drive for Lowe's for delivery your appliance? If so do you tip them 15%?

  • I am a delivery drive and my work truck only get 10 mpg and I DO NOT get tip and 99% of the time I don't get tip and don't expect to. There a delivery fee to cover it and I doing what I get pay for. Most pizza store adds a delivery and you even get some of it. If you like to make more money ask you boss for more!! FYI I don't work for UPS, Lowe's, or Frank Otte.

  • ...the hassel of using your own $4+/gallon gas, using your own car, your own time, and having to deal with traffic. But we still don't deserve a decent percentage for a tip even if we save you about 33% off your order...

  • And if you are tipping $5 for 1 pizza, it is a lot more than 15% probably - and your driver likes you for it. But if you are ordering 10, which is probably around $120, and you still only tip 5, you're looked at like a cheap bum that you could spend that much on food but only give that low of a percentage. We DO like our job, and we excell at it. We expect the same appreciation that others in the service industry receive...

  • If you end up getting crappy service from us, then don't tip. If you get service that meets or exceeds your expectations, then 15% shouldn't be too much to expect - whether it is a $10 order or a $2000 order.

  • I used to work delivering meds using my own car. It was a non-tipping position, but it paid about $13/hr. Waitresses make that because they generally are always serving somebody - or several people at the same time. Drivers make what they make because deliveries are fewer than tables served plus we do other tasks like dishes, cut, trash - basically anything that needs done in the store in addition to our deliveries. But we deliver food like waitresses which is why we should be tipped by percent.

  • Our pay would be considerably less if we consistently got about 5-10 customers an hour, every hour like a waitress could. But deliveries are more sporadic. The delivery fee is another way the driver gets hosed. The customer has to pay $2.50 of which only $1.35 goes to the driver. This makes the customer want to tip less (if at all), and doesn't even cover the cost of the gas to the far reaches of the delivery area. The fee paid to the driver is supposed to cover gas AND wear and tear...

  • You know what? A tip is not fucking mandatory and if someone is going to bitch about it, they sure as hell shouldn't get a tip in the future.

If your job depends on tips, fucking know that not always getting what you expect is part of the territory. Get a different job if you don't like it... it's as simple as that.

  • If you want the delivery service you should tip. If not, carry it out. It's that simple. We live in a greedy ass country. Gas isn't free either. Maybe where you come from it is. Not here in Wisconsin.

  • Look first off get a real job if you dont like your tip! .... What your 45 - 50 years old doing a 18 year olds job, than bitch about what your tip is. mmmm makes you think. You have no idea what UPS does to help the area. Mabe you should get a job at UPS to help pay your bills and get some health care for your 10 kids that the state pays for .. hummmm.... Now because you didn't get a good tip, lets boycot UPS to hurt the 100's of Louisvillian's who do work very hard for 8.50 and still struggle.

  • (from another co-worker:) Must be one of the ones who kisses butt know some one who says that youu dont pay enough and for the back bracking work you do you should get paid 15.00 a hour and if you make more we all know what you do and if you have the time to respond to this tells me you are doing nothing and what community do they help not of the low income one if so tell me who.

  • First off.. I don't need and has never needed to kiss anyone's butt to get were I am at today! Let's make that clear now! I have worked hard for everything I have earned! I am a union worker, working hard for every dollar I make. Being you know nothing about U.P.S, starting pay is 8.50/h. Witch is not so great, but IF you are willing to WORK.... and put your time into the company you could earn 15.00, and also have health care for your family also. Instead of the State flipping the bill.

  • Also, I guess you have never need United Way? Or had your daycare provided from theY.M.C.A? I guess U.P.S and it's employees don't give thousands of dollars each year, ohhh helllets over look that, it's not going into your pocket. Also, every year at Easter we gather donated items and make hundreds of basket to take them to the local shelters, if you want I could go on, but you know what it don't mater I forget its not going into YOUR pocket!

  • So becouse it is not going into your pocket let's boycot U.P.S. Maybe next time you should talk to YOUR employer about them adding on the gratuity, so you don't feel so cheated. But, lets think about that one... hummm no they wont to that for you because you know why, they would be to afraid to lose U.P.S business and the profit they make off all those pizza's. So really tell me who screwed you, well I would say it's your employer! Who did they put out of homes? First time I have heard that one

  • to the person who,s hanging up photos of me with the statement' " dont tip this guy" thats not really a very serious threat since thats what started this in the first place. so once again my dear UPS screw you dont be cheap,,,, after all I am bringing you your food. hmmmmm think about it. karma.

  • You go man!

  • So louisvillecpl24, next time you order pizza, tell the driver what you think about thier job and rate of pay, i bet every time you order after, you get a little something extra that you didn't order, and yes i have spit one many, many of you cheap fuckers pizzas, and do it gleefully. If your ass is too lazy to get up off your fat ass get your food your damn self, be a sport and tip the guy that brings it to you. Hey louisvillecpl24, I'd spit on your pizza!

  • Obviously, Louisvillecpl24 don't know what the hell they're talking about. I worked for papa johns for 5 years and had to quit because it was costing more than what i was making. No one can live on minimum wage, and all the extra money from tips usually goes to gas and car maintenence. It was different when gas was $1.45. Plus all delivery places charge a delivery fee but almost always they give the driver less that 50% of what that is. So dominos may charge $1.50 but the driver get about $0.60.

  • This is a friend of mine. The tip was $76 on an order of just under $1100 after discount, which was split between 2 drivers whose cars were stuffed with about 130 pizzas going to 2 different locations, but had to be marked and divided into 6 seperate orders. Big orders should get $1 per pizza if not by percent. Where in the world is a tip only 5%? A lot of restaurants today add 18-20% to your check regardless of how good your service is.

  • well for all of you that read this.... this is my dad and he akes care of 5 children and it aint easy cuz we dont have a house of our own we live with his grandma and payin bills and stuff aint easy because we all got to pitch in for food and gas so for all of yall who thinks its easy think again cause it might be easy for you and others but not for alot of people it aint easy

  • it's not "mandatory" and alot has to do with the attitude of the DRIVER... which you can see is UNAPPRECIATIVE.... to be honest they dont even HAVE to tip!! if you dont like their tips tell YOUR COMPANY and they can NOT GIVE A DISCOUNT, and give you guys the difference that they was discounting them for... quit crying! i wish i could get a raise, but you dont see me making a video cause i cant get more money when our company makes a big paycheck

  • a 7 1/2 % tip from $1500 is a nice lil tip... gas isnt that high! lol your making 1 trip, and getting $110 give or take.. not bad!

isnt the proper tip only 5%?

  • Proper tip is 15-20% Gas anywhere from $3.65-3.85 depending on the gas station you go to..also... tip was $76 not 110..also it is physically IMPOSSIBLE to load 130 pizzas into 1 car lol

  • maybe he had a VAN! lol and if he dont like it dont deliver pizzas.... any time you get $76 for 1 delivery your doing pretty good. and TIPING is a COURTESY, not MANDITORY.. otherwise they would just add the fee to the bill! the pizza places around here charge for deliveries and the driver gets it twards gas... not to mention they are ALREADY getting paid (minimun wage) so ad minimum wage, and whatever the tip was

  • and im sure this pizza guy came out with more in an hour than most make, yet he's complaining cause he didnt make $200 tip..... get a different job then!
