  • I love the instrumental version of this track but I really don't like the actual singing in the Japanse or US versions. The singing is just really uncatchy, uncool, and makes me feel weird for even listening to it. It's like a relic from the past. A past left forgotten.

  • wait this is jap but with eng lyrics WTF O______O

  • @DonutTheHeghog : Pretty common in some Japanese games, actually. English is kinda "popular" with certain crowds in Japan just like how Japanese is with anime and some game fans in America.

  • the moral of the story is this is why sonic is better than mario!

  • Music should be more like this. No Justin Bieber, no Kanye West, no Ke$ha, and, esfuckingspecially, no Wiz Kulefa, of however you spell his stupid name.

  • @EviLBastarD77

Seems like water splash from ground, Sonic way of throwing i guess :D

Really cool imagination in this animation :D

  • for some reason i don't know why i think the retro looks of amy rose is better than the new one.

  • @fareedbakhit Ande Minus the shit dubbing, it was pretty okay.

  • @MrKennyWilliams you mean the voice acting ?

  • @fareedbakhit

Yeah The English Cast was Bad, but in a good way, you know like Reverse good, to get a cheap laugh

  • @MrKennyWilliams yeah that's right every thing belong to japan should stay japanese at least japanese voice acting with english text looks what happen when non japanese company have made astro boy the CG animated film.

  • @EviLBastarD77

What to say. Sonic is just that pro.

  • gonna Crap!:-(

  • Never knew Eddie Murphy was singing this

  • This is how any sonic the hedgehog cartoon should have been,

no dumd SATAm cartoon or stupid sonic X

  • sonic always kicked robot asses especcially in sonic cd XD

  • You've got to have some faith in yourself / if you always pick on your friends".

I've been wondering what that means for, oh, 15 years now?

  • @jamesmitchellesquire You heard it that way? I heard it as "You've got to have some faith in yourself if you ONLY SPEAK FOR your friends," which actually does make a bit of sense.

  • @NailStrafer I'm pretty sure she says "You've got to have some faith in yourself if you want respect from your friends."

  • @minofthecosmos Pretty sure that's what they say at that spot. That's what I've always heard, and makes the most sense.

  • @BulletproofBL this is far superior to that total shit that Spencer Nielsen laughingly called a suond track.

I have always been grateful to SEGA Europe for keeping this sound track.

  • Old skool sonic rox, glad sega make sonic 4 hope episode 2 coming.

  • The true animation, ending, and song for Sonic and Sonic CD. The part where the piano comes in , and then Metal Sonic racing is perfect.

  • im sorry this sucks

  • @mrnintendo88 I should have know a fucked up ninty fan being here! get to fuck off and go back to your ninty shit. this is better than anything nrntendo could ever hope to dream off making even now! What is the matter cant recognise great music when you hear it?

  • @hoggys2much the american version owns this shit i love sonic cd dumbshit

  • Gives me Daytona USA flashbacks... Rolling Staaaaaaarrrrrt.........

  • 1:22 subtile rapist

  • It's a nice song and all, but I think the English ending fits the visuals more. More upbeat, "Good job, you did it," than this. This is a bit more, "Good job, but now it's over."

  • The rapping kills it for me.

  • Sonic CD is a cool game, the think I like about it is the speed and the levels ... It is faster than the games made by Sonic Team but I prefer the latter because of the gameplay and the better control over the character ...

  • @Me7aLfAn Sonic Team did make Sonic the Hedgehog CD (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグCD)

  • @SoldierCLE : No mate, it was another team, not Sonic Team. At that time Sonic Team was developing Sonic The Hedgehog 2

  • @SoldierCLE No they didn't, if they did, the intro of the game would have had Sonic Team or the ending would have had it.

  • @TheDoomPig On the contrary, there were two 'SONIC TEAMs' in the 90s. Yuji Naka and others went to the United States and formed 'Sonic Team USA', while the original creator of Sonic (and other characters) stayed behind with the remainder of the original SONIC TEAM. In the 90s, we used to recognize Yuji's team as 'Sonic Team USA'. Granted, being it were years ago, it is understandable how people would forget.

  • @SoldierCLE Well let's say it wasn't the original Sonic Team? Other than that you did get me with something I knew nothing about.

  • In this case, it would be half of the original 'Sonic Team' that stayed at Sega Enterprises, Ltd. The other half that went with Yuji Naka made up what was at the time regularly known as 'Sonic Team USA', as their own literature at the time even differentiated them as such. Other publications at the time (EGM, VG&CE, Game Players, among others) also differentiated the two as such.

tl;dr The original Sonic Team split in half in the 90s.

  • @SoldierCLE Oh okay, well I still think it's the odd one out of the original 2D Sonic games.

  • Como siempre la version japonesa supera a la Yanqui...

  • "In the end, who's on your side, who can you trust in the middle of the night." ?

    I mean... seriously... WTF ??

  • Why the hell does Japanese music always have English words? Do they like the English language or something? Like Americans love the British Accent (I'm British)

  • @Felfire90 actually i'm gonna be honest with you I think most americans find the british accent annoying.

  • @TheSuperNESman YES! I find my own accent annoying.

  • 0:32 Dreamcast logo FTW!

  • This version of the ending song is awesome.

  • sonic looks soooo cool like that!!!

  • The Sonic in Sonic CD is my all time favorite version of Sonic. This also happens to be my favorite game.

  • 0:56-1:02

Quite possibly all that remains of the removed 2nd round.

  • this was better than the US version.

  • What you mean the opening again? Just about anything could beat, if only for the sake of not looking so damn lazy.

  • @scatandpounce

    Ditto to that!

  • @scatandpounce I pray to god you're being sarcastic. XD

  • @scatandpounce

the US version was the exact same thing bro.

  • @superdude200ify No, it wasn't. The songs were completely different.

  • @SilentlyVocal

well i like both of the songs and im not really a fan of its bashing :/

  • gotta love how he finishes robotnik by throwing a brick at him

  • i used to put the Sonic CD disc into a CD player and listen to it when i was little... very cheesy lol

  • I did that too! Had a great soundtrack that game - enjoyed listening to it!

  • yo what happened to the old sonic, now in days with the modern sonic he has lost his charm and became a huge newsince. The sonic in unleashed (at least in the demo) has come closer to the classic sonic form the genesis in coordination to the Japanese artwork not the U.S's cartoon )

  • best part of the song is1:03 - 1:23

  • I haven't seen a good Sonic game since Sonic Rush. However, i have not played any of the next gen versions, and I approach each game with an open mind.

  • Sonic Rush Adventure was good.

  • it was okay, but I didn't like the slow ship battles, and marine was one of the worst new characters that Sega has made.

  • Sonic unleashed besides werehog was a great game in the daytime stages

  • Original Sonic FTW

  • To tell the truth, I like the new Sonic games/shows better. (where they started making Sonic Adventure DX - Sonic and the Black Knight and the anime Sonic X) But I will always love the old Sonic - no matter what. And I think you all should be grateful that they still make Sonic games. It still keeps Sonic alive.

  • sonic and the black knight was gay as hell

  • ...can I get an instrumental for this? :\

  • i don't think there is one. sorry dude.

  • The only way to get an instrumental is to use a Vocal Remover Program to remove the vocals. Sorry but it is very hard to find a good one for free. I'm still searching :/

  • Sega forever

  • This vesion is alot cheesier...

  • Don't rearrange

    No need to change

    Stay like You are

    Keep it all the same

Someone should tell that to the fuckwits who created Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Night and Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Whatever happens this will always be the Sonic I remember... This is how I always saw him :)

  • *Sad face* ....i kinda liked some of those games.... but nomatter what the orignal Sonic will always be my fave!!!!

  • Thank god someone else agrees. If anything they should remake this shit with better graohics or make an additional 3d mode.

  • They shoulda' made a cartoon series with that animation, it's awesome.

So much better than the lazy animators of Sonic X.

    Only three quills my freaking...

Anyway, loved Sonic C.D and this ending (Both versions). Metal Sonic for the win!

  • @UntitledXl

This animation is the ending animation of a game, while Sonic X is a long running TV series.

One need to simplify for an easier way to draw.

Besides they did made a pseudo animated series version of Sonic CD, and they found out Amy need more sex appeal, which is why they revised her in Sonic Adventure.

The Sonic OVA series used a lot elements from the Sonic CD, and Seera is pretty much Amy-ish.

  • @UntitledXl

    They did

It was a direct-to-video movie that they later wanted to spin-off into a series, however the sales weren't high enough

  • @UntitledXl theres a movie in this style

  • @UntitledXl they did.

ever hear of sonic the movie

  • @UntitledXl They did, it was canceled after the pilot. Its known in english as the Sonic movie

  • @Tristan71396

We also had that Cartoon thing that was for edicating. And that other thing that was more dark but still for kids. To bad those thing where never realesed in Skandinavia we getted Sonic X on Jetix

  • @Tristan71396

The one with Knuckles with a cool Austrailian hat?! haha.

If I remember right, the animation was awsome and the voices kinda pisses me off.

  • Comment removed

  • @UntitledXl actually the animators on "Sonic x" have done some pretty damn good animation. Ever heard of "Akira"?

  • @mxyzptlk2010

The people who do Sonic X did Akira? Are you serious? Damn. That's crazy. If it's true, I'm surrprised, big time.

    Couldn't really watch Sonic X. Didn't look/feel right.

  • @UntitledXl You do know they made a MOVIE with this animation, right?

  • @UntitledXl they made a 2 episode ova with similar animation to this

  • In the other version, Sonic Boom, I misheard the lyrics. When I first listened that song I thought that it was 'Sonic moves', not 'Sonic boom'. But when I realised that it was 'Sonic boom', that thing didn't make the lyrics any better...

  • So yea I just finally got a sega cd yesterday. I was able to get a copy of Sonic CD. I still wish it was the other music....

  • just gotta beleive......

  • I like the NA ending better

  • is it me or is the JP version faster than the american?

  • I love the Euro/JP level soundtrack, but I prefer the North American intro and ending,.

  • yea!!!

  • I can already know it a bad ending because dr.robotinik a.k.a eggman stole the chaos emelralds.

  • damn really?

  • Where did you get this clips downloaded? If you tell me I'll give you credit. D: I wanted to make an amv

  • I dont even remember. I's been so long. I dont even have this vid on my pc anymore.

  • thanks anyway! :]

  • No problem. I'm sure if you looked under torents for video cutscenes from the japanese gems collection for gamecube you might find something.

  • Are you sure this is Japanese?

  • Yes ^o^, read the description!

  • 1 of my fav sonic endings and songs <3 too bad ive got the american verson T_T

  • ....the jp opeing was good...this...is...not....

  • Generally I like the Japan/Europe soundtrack the best, but I prefer the North American version's end music.

I can't warm to this song at all. :o(

  • hey! doesn't this music sound like the SONIC-The Movie music? the animation & character design too. both the US & JP music are ok. Sonic Boom, You Can Do Anything, their both good songs. though Sonic Boom was a "repeat" of the intro, Toot Toot Sonic Warrior sounds like the opening too. for it's time, it was good music. THEY BOTH ROCK! XD

  • 1:21 Robo Rape

  • that is one magical rock. :P

  • It's so funny that it only took a ROCK to beat Robotnick.

  • i think he was making the rock as fast as a gun bullet & hited a vital spot on robotnicks vehicle like the gas tank or the engine

  • this video is made it, the bad future and the good future scenes in the same animation? :S this is fan made.. the original good ending not have the scene of eggman in the jet, and the bad ending not have the scene of the planet with the falling stars...

  • Its ashame that u cant do ne of that shit in the game

  • the japenese ver is more modern hiphop style, the us ver is more 80's.

the japenese is crazy and awsome, fits sonic perfictly, while the us... meh sort of catchy but bland, serious and tasteless... not sonicy

    japenese is better

  • STFU. Both are awesome. Can't we leave it at that?

  • to kaythekiller1

sorry but the us version all sounds the same, plus half the songs dont even fit either... i couldnt imagine perfering the us version over the japenese!! O_O

  • Exactly. The US version is monotonous and unimaginative. Most of the lyrics consists of is "Sonic Boom." I hate to say it, but even 4kids have made better opening songs than that. And the US ending is no different; just slower paced. The Japanese Opening and ED expresses what Sonic is all about.

Hell, when I first saw the original opening on Sonic Jam back in my Sega Saturn days, I couldn't believe the Japanese composed it.

  • I'm usually the first to say that the Japanese music is better than the English (like, all the time) but this is a rare case where it's the other way around. "Sonic boom" is faster paced, fits with the video, and is actually less repetitive than this (at least it isn't "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF" repeated)... the rap kind of ruins this version.

  • Try to take those words against the Jap/Eur version, and switch them to Sonic Boom.

  • Which is your opinion and I can respect that. The melody of Sonic Boom bored me to tears. It didn't excite me or pump me up like "Believe in yourself "or "Super Sonic Warrior" did.

  • 28hertz

no your right just cuz its jp dose not make it better but sorry this one is. look at the facts its a new sonic unlike the US one that just basely the same as the intro but with a slower twist and some new words and that one is good i like that one but this one is just better all of the jp sonudtrack its better the US one was not Charismatic it was all slow and samey so yeah this one is better and the US soundtrack lack something so sorry but this better.

  • I love how the music is when it gets to the highway with Sonic and Metal Sonic.

  • WHORE

  • i mean crimsonokami not you

  • sonicnaruto12345: Excuse me for not liking the song, you can't argue that it is not headache inducing.

    Sonic is cool.

That song is not cool, it is not hot, it is atrocious, if I had to listen to it again I might pop a blood vessel.

  • dude what was so great about sonic boom ending? it sounded DEAD with absolutely no beat or rythm!! this song has all of that and more!

  • Sonic Boom's melody and vocals are tolerable, the vocals for this are absolutely laughable and it's all I can hear because they are so grating.

  • that's the way sonic should look like. especially today. kewl and cute at the same time^^

  • SONIC!!! <3 this was actually a really good game :D

  • sonics hands are just circles O_.

  • Sega seems to have created sonic to aim at american audiences.

  • sorry to say this, man, but just because there's no samurais, ninjas and the story is not told in feudal Japan, doesn't mean the creators were making it aiming an "American" audience. And if you're talking about the fact that the games are always in english, it's more than common to see Japanese games in english

  • I'm talking about how in the games station square looks like new york and other american cities.

  • doesn't mean they did that in order to attract americans, sonic is appreciated all over the world

  • @RyotheTiger

Sonic was created in USA style (ala Bio Hazard), but not fully of course. I mean, he got FIVE fingers!

  • I got the good ending on the gems collection version.

  • has anyone ever beat the game witin an hour with all the timestones and without dyimg

  • i cant get past wacky workbench

  • I know,it's pretty difficult

  • and Stardust Speedway speed run vids look so cool

  • yep,but is difficult to win Metal Sonic, considering that there are a lot of spikes in the way that can make you lose that race...

  • do u have to race him in the Good Future too

  • Yes and sry I didnt have the intro or I'd upload it.

  • yea i hate when you see the goal mecha sonic comes outta nowhere and wins

  • True,it took me days to win Metal Sonic, anyway I finished the game so now I'm happy, hehe

  • lol thatd be awesome but might not be possible without cheats

  • Awsome

  • Intro is better.

  • I hope we can revisit this kind of music in later games. It's just so...Sonic-y.

  • So much better than the US version...

  • best video/music/game ever!

  • i mean the japanese song would have won hands down if it wasnt for the guy singers fucking it up big time so thats why i like the english verison better no fucked up spots xp

  • oh wow sound effects thats so good not i hate when they put sound effects in songs and when not done right can get in the way of the lyrics

  • The American ending doesn't even have an operatic score for the final boss, nor sound effects in the end movie!

  • are you kidding the japanese version is better then the american ending

  • LOOK IN YOURSELF!

  • I like the american verison better.

  • tidal tempest good future sounds like softcore porno music lol
