Not really true, screaming CAN have a lot of emotion in it, dude. Just look at Daylight Dies, Novembers Doom, Saturnus and Mourning Beloveth. Just a few doom bands that use screaming and sound VERY emotional.

Paradise Belongs to You is arguably the best doom metal album of all time. And Saturnus is extremely emotional with their growling. Just check out tracks like Christ Goodbye and I Love Thee if you have any doubt.

If you like them, check out Of the Wand and the Moon. They are an acoustic folk side-project of Kim Larsen, their (former) lead singer.

Okay, most of these bands are not traditional doom, but some are. They are a pretty big mix of traditional, epic, death and funeral doom.

Swallow the Sun, Tiamat (old shit), While Heaven Wept, Ahab, Evoken, Reverened Bizarre, Esoteric, Novembers Doom, Saturnus, Daylight Dies, Skepticism, dISEMBOWELMENT, Thergothon, Pentagram, Pagan Altar, Doomsword, Isole, Draconian, and in addition to these there are many, many, many more.
