  • Why do you have to change the name of the sitemap location? I don't understand that part.

  • @znifong7 This tutorial was specifically geared towards bloggers at a WPMU install. If we didn't change the sitemap name, all Google would ever see is sitemap.xml. Every time any blogger published, that would be the sitemap that was updated and sent along.

    Each blog needs a unique sitemap.
