  • Wow, I was sure we would get either Terrence Malick's ending to "The Thin Red Line" or "The New World". But then again, there are so so many movies which have incredible endings, that this list could go on for a long time.

  • you skipped out ed harris's bit WHY

  • Where's requiem for a dream? the usual suspects? memento? Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind? Movies that leave you with a shock value. However, I do agree with fight club. Easily the best movie of all time.

  • @6sillysheep He put The Usual Suspects up on one of his other videos. But I agree with you on Requiem for a Dream.

  • Damn, good list but you forgot Chinatown.

  • @jimmyhooha .....I wouldn't consider Chinatown as part of the modern era.

  • Lol, ur a nub.

  • no, you are wrong, chinatown is not recent

  • I think perhaps the greatest and most dramatic ending of all time could be "Heat". With Moby's "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" playing in the background, it really makes you feel something inside which a lot of movies do not. So fantastic and really deserves a mention somewhere.

  • truman is a god amongst ants! when he touches that sky-wall my heart breaks!!!

  • fight club does not deserve to be number 1 anyway, its one of the worst films ever

  • @RubyDragon01 Though I do agree that it shouldn't be number 1, I definately DO NOT agree that it is one of the worst films ever. That's just a ridiculous statement.

  • @RubyDragon01 wtf are u talking about ?

  • Good mention, that ending is really satisfying.

  • All the movies you picked are quality! apart from smokin aces, i feel that scene was kinda wasted on a movie like that...

  • What was the first one? I think the all time greatest ending, although its not modern, has to be from A Clockwork Orange.

  • What about saw and se7en? Although i think fight club deserves to be first.

  • truman owns

  • memento was a great one

  • What? No "Saw"?

  • fucking truman fucking show was fucking ama-fucking-zing!!!!

  • and finding neverland

  • the prestige, the dark knight

  • A few Aussie directors made the list I see...

  • missing "the Game", "le grande blue", "leon" "city of angels"
