Hey steve, at around 2:37 - 2:41 , The sound is very epic, I just wanted to know how you produce this sound (only guitar+octave Pedal?) or you added another track, cause its sound like a heavy trumpet, really love it.

@MyCatLovesMetal Ah thanks! That is a synth bass being added in along with my guitar to give some extra balls. Actually it is the Tuba setting on a Moog Taurus 1 pedal (or a sample of one). GREAT tone!

There are endless music genres I can thoroughly enjoy. Once in a while come these songs which make my body spasm and quiver; it literally gets my hairs to stand. Such a feeling! I swear that even after all this time listening to it, this rendition of Bach's classic - this performance is pretty much the only thing which has CONSISTENTLY been spine chilling. Steve, I can't stop complimenting you on this. The sound is just extraordinary! Thank you.

@Dragonsrule89 Good ear! No, it's not the same guitar but it's the same octave pedal. That pedal is a mid-70s Mutron Octave Divider and has a very signature sound to it. And as you may have noticed...I love it!

@gautski1 I don't know which octave pedal Ritchie used but in that era there weren't that many to choose from. There was the Mutron like mine, an MXR and little else. I'd like to know as well...great ears my friend!

@KatastrophicKeyboard Being a tocatta it's meant to be more of a free-form style improvisation. If you listen to a variety of recordings of this you'll hear they are all quite different. E Power Biggs was the master organist that did my favorite version of it and it's all over the map tempo-wise.
