Please do sit down and think about why you said what you did. Why wouldn't someone with even the least amount of imagination find improvisational acting "fun"?
The white headband indicates that she is out-of-game, and she's obviously observing the battle closely. It's likely she's either a ref or marshal of some sort.
The NERO chapter is still around but due to pour story and low commitment to its players many new chapters have opened in the 11 years since and dilute the player base of the area. This Video was always kinda depressing to me because it was almost the marker of a sad era in Southeastern LARPing.
Over all it was the first event of the very long downfall of story lines in NERO Atl. Before this event most of the tallented story writers had left for actual writing careers leaveing only inexperienced and naive writers in their place. The Chapter up until this point would pull in around 300 players every month. This event pulled only 120 and subsequent events would only pull 50-75.
The was from a NERO Atlanta major field battle for the weekend back in 1996. The guys in pink tabards were supposed to be Gnolls. The only reason they used those tabards is because someone had broken into the NERO Atl storage unit and stollen almost everything except the pink tabards and a few weapon/claw reps.
Actually women show up at those things than you would expect. My fiancee used to do it a lot before we moved to Florida. (That's the place in CT right?)
I went a few times and it was cool. It's just a fun little thing to do on the weekends.

NERO players get outside (gasp) and do the things WoW players only brag about. Come back to me after you've hiked through a mile or so of snow chasing down goblins, and then we'll talk.
@paulineprojectlove: Instead of NERO, take a look at Heroic Interactive Theatre. You can find all their chapters at heroicit.net. Not as many as NERO, but a much better designed system, from the ground up.
I choose staying awake for two days because even when the rooms your sleeping in are both warded, circled, and any other cheese protective you can put on it is able to be rolled. Well you'll find me in the tavern.
