Jimmy G is a great man. Always entertaining, and always a gentleman. If you have the chance to go see him, Take advatage. If you have the chance to have a drink with him, you are lucky as can be. Great guy, love him to death.
I wonder if Jimmy knows Chubby Howard, a fellow pedal steel player who used to play with Buck Owens. Chubby DJ's for the Country Classics radio station out of Xenia, Ohio, and plays stuff like this on his shows. Jimmy, you've still got it! The rest of your gang there is pretty good, too.
Jimmy Grabowske, the steel guitar player, played with Hank Williams at his last show at the Skyline Club in Austin, Texas, on December 19, 1952, and also with Johnny Horton at the Skyline at his last show (also at the Skyline) on November 4, 1960.
Jimmy has got to have the biggest chord vocabulary I have seen. What a great player. Glad to call him a friend.
