Beach Head, I remember that game; I hated that one. I loved the 64, so many hours of my youth on that game system in the 80s. Loved those old D&D games, the first real D&D I ever played. I had the Champions of Krynn game, Curse of the Azure Bounds was the best though.
Great job with this vid, very enjoyable to watch. I'll certainly give you a like.
Some classic memories there mate, the follow up game to Populous was called Powermonger.
Never did play Zak McKracken but did enjoy the prequel Maniac Mansion.
Obliterator (crappy game) was released by Psygnosis, they made the Amiga king after releasing Shadow of the Beast in 1989 (average game but awesome graphics and sound) and Lemmings. Psygnosis were bought out by Sony circa 92/93 and became a major development team (3D routines iirc) for original Playstation. :)

@woodwwad Thanks :). I rememer I was amazed at the time, that the D&D games used the same game mehanics and character stats as the table top RPG.

@off1k Yup, Powermonger was the game I was trying to remember. I believe both of those started the whole RTS genre too :).

I grew up around a ViC a 64 and eventually a 128..
I chose the AtariST:)
I had the D&D games too!
Now lets just spend 4 hours programming the code from our RUN magazine and we'll watch a balloon float across the screen!
Do not throw those away!
