@somtawyer Agreed! Fills like that with uneven beats and flams are so much more than just getting up to speed and getting the right drums. Such technicality is required to get the feel out of that bit without it getting clumsy.  Really impressive!

Wow really nice drumming. Wondering if you could help me out with some snare tuning tips. Your snare sounded dead on for this song and I can't get it quite right. I can only see the rim but it looks like you have a R30 style edge snare. I have a VLT style like the S&A tour any tips on getting that great tight pop out of it? I tightened it way up but it still isn't quite right.

Yeah, the Paragons are nice, I love the chinas and crashes, but the ride at times can be very pingy and for a lack of a better word "annoying" It does have a good bell, but it lacks that warm tone that as you said your K Custom gave you. I would say if you hate the Paragon either get the K Custom or get a Sabian close to it like a HHX Dry Ride or HH Raw Bell Dry Ride. If you like it, keep it and it will fit well with your other Paragons.

How do you like your Paragon Ride? Its one of my favorite rides, very pingy and defined, but do you miss your dark K Custom Ride?

You know what man? I'm being very neurotic about it, I love the Paragon for the reasons you just said, and it sonically matches the rest of the paragon set-up BUT, I do miss my K, It had a warmer dark sound that I really liked, And the bell was awesome. So, what to do?

I don't mean to answer the question for Ray, but I believe he is using all Sabian Paragons, Neil Peart Signature Line with Sabian. He has the 20" Crash, 2 16" Crashes, 18" Crash, 13" Hats, 19" China, 10 and 8 SPlashes, and I'm not sure if he kept his Zildjian K Custom Ride or got a Paragon 22" Ride. And Yes, This can be watched in HD.

I know historically he plays zildjians but somethings telling me that there sabians, I have a ride that looks just like yours, but its a zildjian

Yes they are the "S&A" sticks And Neil has been playing his own line of Sabians for years now (Paragons) And yes, I'm playing Sabian Paragons.
