Matthew 16:28 states that some of those standing there listening to Jesus would live to see him coming in glory and defeating the Romans is the message there. It didn't happen and the messiah the Jews were expecting was a military leader and he did not arrive. Also in Revelation 1:1 and 22:12 it states that all the predictions in Revelation would happen soon as well as the return of Jesus, etc. It did not happen so quit waiting on nothing.
