Ha! Ha! Wow, I certainly appreciate the very, very kind words... I love that you're "inspired" by my playing. I remember my frustrations when I first started learning... I couldn't remember the chord fingerings from one day to the next. But, it all comes with time and practice... just don't give up! And, I do have to say, don't rely too much on tabs, etc. Train your ear to decipher the chords in a song and then train your fingers to play them. And, above all, don't be shy! Thanks again!!

I notice in your description you have the question is it really about smoking dope. My opinion is NO! i see it as a song about a very young boy growing out of his childhood into a more serious individual. He's leaving behind his more childish playthings for grownup things. Puff is simbolic of the innocence that we leave behind. Maybe I'm crazy, but i've always loved this song and it bothers me to think that it symbolizes drugs. Again super job on a super song. Thanks, I appreciate the comment. The guitar is a Sigma which my brother bought back in 1982... apparently, it was made by Martin since it has a Martin sticker inside... I think Sigma was a cheaper Martin sort of like how Epiphone is a cheaper Gibson. In any case, it plays pretty nice for a 27 year old cheap guitar. :)
