the egg bursts because when the bullet passed through it, it created and enormous amount of pressure in the whole liquid. i remember a law from physics class that said: pressure is equal in all the points of a liquid. so, all the egg liquid is pressurized exactly the same. there's a scientific explanation.

sorry i don't have the web address but there is a vid out there of guys firing different sorts of guns at hanging slaughtered pigs (best match to human body)then having a close look - that is truly scary, especially the assualt rifle shots. the damage they cause is immense.
