@npontix You're right. WD have the habit of just releasing new hardware with one or two new fixes, instead of updating the firmware. Because of that, my WDTV is collecting dust, and I'm using an HTPC instead.
@JeXsXsXe Sorry for the late reply. For me, the HTPC works a lot better than the WDTV as it gives me a lot more freedom in video playback. If you check out part 1 and 3 of this video, you'll see what you're in for (half-assed supported soft subs). If the limitations don't bother you though, then it works just fine as long as the subtitles don't get too complicated.
I want to make a new video sometime soon showing what my HTPC does for my anime.

I have all my Dragon box episodes with Japanese audio and soft-subs. I was wondering how well WDTV handled this.
