  • nice video production on this, cool.

  • I dont believe it is hard to make a windmill, its just a lot of work, like anything else.

take a look at the expense of the materials.

such as the batteries and the generator to produce the power.

  • Hello, does that include the rooftop wind turbines in France? Since 7% of the energy is lost in transmission, it seems like the best future is in home wind turbines to me. Nice video.

  • libbers they bitch and moan about CO2 emissions and global warming and when there is a solution at hand its not good enough NIMBY syndrome

  • Self-proclaimed alternative energy proponent TED Kennedy is trying to block the proposed Cape Cod wind energy project,8 miles from Kennedy's home in Hyannis Port it could provide three-fourths of the power needed by Cape Cod and nearby islands, which is now supplied by coal-fired plants. It would wreck his view of the ocean LOL hes got plenty of money to pay any energy cost. PAPA made a fortune running booze from Canada during prohibition

  • This is the future - this and solar energy. But the oil companies are fighting it tooth and nail.

  • Oil Companies supply oil which is not used to generate electricty.

The oil companies have enough capital to buy or even start several wind farms many times over if they desire to profit from it.

  • Why do we fear our governments? They should fear their own people! The wind is free, let's catch it and power our own stuff. Who cares what they say. But please don't build them half-ass.

  • That second turbine shown at 5:30 is noisy as hell.

How much is a 5KW model?

  • the noisier turbine is an old model. new ones are much quieter as they have better designed blades. They are so quiet that horses don't even notice them when they go past.

  • In the EC, I supply the complete package for 16500 euros with mast, the Montana can do 8500KWH or more per year... the noisy one is an old Passaat, the new ones are less noisy

  • Jesus Christ. That is almost $40,000.00 U.S.

I pay 7.5 cents per KWH.

    You do the math.

  • €16500 at $1.35 per € = $22275 (only if the $ stays weak) take off your state and national rebates and then find out what you gridtie price is from your electricity company... paybacks are longer than solar cells, but work 24/7. In big wind areas some have been generating 50KWh per day, so this power is used to feed your house and to turn the meter backwards.... get your power in Germany today and you pay $0.336/KWH and see how much you save with a turbine

  • IF the British government was in the slightest bit interested in renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions or help the public in general they would allow free reign of wind turbine installations on you OWN property!

    Think about it.

Why do you think they are building big wind farms off shore? So you still have to pay for the electricity and the company's executives still make a fortune.

  • Make one yoruself that size and the law will make you take it down!

They are not interested in the public reducing their carbon footprint. That is just PR campaign and to get you to buy more products.

  • The British Government is a due to change planning laws to let you put a turbine up on your own land without planning permission.

  • here in France there is NO planning formalities for any turbine wit less than a 12m /40ft tower

  • nice to see there are people that embrace technology not dismiss it.

  • good stuff keep the hard work.

  • Prices in the site?

  • Fully installed prices for grid connected small wind turbines start at about £3500, and run to £70,000. you can get cheaper ones, but our experience is that they don't last long!

for £70,000 you'll get a piece of kit that'll run a pretty large farm or light industrial outfit.

  • That is $200,000.00 American Dollars.

That is as much as the Average American house itself.

I would need about 3500 watts constant to supply my modest home.

    $10,000 American Dollars is reasonable.

  • for $10,000 you could get a turbine that will help with your electricity bill, cut your carbon emissions, and reduce your dependence on imported oil. $140,000 would get you a machine that would make about 20 times as much energy as you'd need, and if you're in the Uk you can sell the excess to the grid tax free.

  • I want one, who can sell me one in the Bristol region?
