  • Is very good!!!

  • I watched this guy at a place called Donna's in New Orleans before Katrina devastated tat city.I could never forget his performance. He seemed to have such ccontrol of his instrument.Thia cat is gonna b big if he continues to dowhat he's doing

  • That's funny. This "guy" is already big. He has been the lead trumpet player and fellow arranger with Harry Connick, Jr for 12 years, he's been nominated for a Grammy while working with Connick and is recognized as the world's foremost expert on traditional jazz trumpet. So, I'd say, he's already big.

He plays in places like Donna's because its in his home-neighborhood and when you're from New Orleans, that's what you do.

  • Actually, Roger Ingram is the lead trumpet in Connick's band. Also, Wynton Marsalis is kind of the leading traditionalist, since he's pretty much the acting historian and leader with the Lincoln Center Jazz Band.

However, nobody can play like Leroy.

  • Roger Ingram became lead trumpet player after Leroy was signed with Sony Records via Harry and Wynton hung out listening to Leroy play when he was still a young lion. This is something I know quite well. Harry and I went to school for music together from 5 years old, to NOCCA, to UNO's Jazz Studies Program. I'm also very close with the Marsalis family. Branford went to school with Harry and I and Ellis, his father was our teacher at NOCCA and at UNO.

  • Leroy and Katya are such a beautiful couple - this looks like so much fun!
