  • Goosebumps. Every time.

  • I love this movie ^^

i saw it with my friend & she cried during it <3

  • people gonna come here from everywhere and i'm almost there love it

  • I absolutley love MOST of this movie. It's horrible that Disney ruined the first black princess movie with voodoo stuff. But, I STILL LOVE DISNEY AND THIS MOVIE!

  • @TBCLEberhart it did give us one of the best disney villains in ages, I love Dr Facilier

  • @DrNaviii True, but I'm in middle school and the voodoo stuff made me nervous.

  • i think that this song is where a lot of people are in life and thats why i love it

  • "Mama! I don't have time for dancing!" ..........but I have time to break out into song and pretend I'm famous! :D

  • OPRAH!

  • Watch The Lion King then watch a CGI movie it will make you very sad...

  • shes so pretty.

  • Randy Newman Song:

"Frogs, they kiss pretty Girls, and then the girls themselves become Frogs aswell"

  • hi everyone, i make disney music videos on youtube

a few days ago i uploaded a disney music video/crossover using this movie and a couple others. i used the song mambo no. 5 with it. id appreciate if u checked out my work. i work very hard and rarely get attention on my fan made videos

  • I knew it was Randy Newman!

this song resembled "you've got a friend in me" SOOO MUCH in the melody.

  • -_- Newman

  • This movie has potential!

but it was ruined by the "Corny" little pets creatures, and other silly Cliche's

  • @jaguar4u2012 na it was pretty good.

  • Now, why couldn't tangled be animated like this and all the other princess movies?

  • @xo1love1hope1dreamxo

    Tangled was Great!

    leave it alone!

  • @jaguar4u2012 -____-

  • @xo1love1hope1dreamxo They suck thats why.

  • @xo1love1hope1dreamxo She had to be computer animated instead of Traditionally animated because no one had ever animated that much hair before. If they all didn't agree to animate her on the computer they would of never made the movie at all.

  • @Iwuzhere321 Ohhhh, thanks.

  • @xo1love1hope1dreamxo Because it wasn't.

  • @EnglishGavz -_-

  • @xo1love1hope1dreamxo I fail to see how that was the wrong answer.

  • @EnglishGavz Oh? Ok.

  • lol, i was reminded of this song this morning when i tried to make cinnamon rolls for the first time ever... they were good, but they were sorta shapeless and dense... not quite tiana, haha! my family still said they were great, but..

  • I like how the cooks are somehow both black and Italian.

  • was it the 1930's?

  • @teugene50able I think it was the 20's

  • i think the late 20's inufan330

  • This is such a beautiful film on every level :)

  • I want some grandkids!! LOL

  • it's sad that i know every word from every scene of this movie

  • MY FAV!

  • english and french and very beautiful :3

  • I want some grandkids! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I totally just noticed Oprah voices the mom xDD

  • Comment removed

  • I'm swedish, is it Oprah that does the voice of Tiana's mother?

  • This is why Tiana is the best Disney princess.

  • Tiana's easily one of the most beautiful princesses

  • @AriesGoddess93 IKR. I think she looks a lot like Ariel. Facial features look similar♥

  • Saw this movie for the first time yesterday! FINALLY! I got the money to buy it :) i knew i wouldn't be returnin it, i could tell it was going to be good! I wanna be Princess Tiana for halloween next year <3

  • 1:20 i like her face! ;P haha LOL

  • LOL @ 2:41

  • To be honest Princess and the Frog is no classic. However this is by far my favorite moment in the film. Visually it is interesting, and fun to watch. To get an idea of what a hard-working, ambitious young person wishes to accomplish.

  • @MrGeoxen I agree with you but The Princess and the Frog is just amazing as any disney movies it is by far a classic

  • i've heard that in Kinect Disneyland Adventures! and i'm pretty good at dancing with Princess Tiana! literally :)

  • i cant believe, my sis got her wish!!!! she sent a email to disney and told them why dont they have a black princess and a few years laters, here she is disney's 1st black princess, (now all they need to do is get is give princess kida a spot on princess posters

  • I love this movie <3 and i love New Orleans... love love love it:)

  • I'm torn between this movie being a disney masterpiece and a disney epic failure.

  • @friendofGod5 Lol what do you mean? Those are pretty drastic extremes.

  • @AugustineEmmeline because it was great but compared to the other disney princess movies it missed a lot of details (ie disney moments). For eg. they didnt let the music speak enough, the songs and their lyrics were a little dry (very sequel-ish), and the setting could have been different and be much more effective. Where was Alan Mekain when they made this movie? But it was beautiful still.

Mabye if it was made in the 90s....it would have been better:)

  • @friendofGod5 Yeah...I know what you mean.

  • @friendofGod5 Sorry but I don't believe Menken could have done better and I don't think that changing the time period of the release date of this movie to the 90s would make it better. Menken is good, but he is so overrated by Disney Fans and those fans always bring up that if Menken is not composing a Disney movie it's not good. I beg to differ in this case, Newman in an interview claimed that he visited New Orleans many times in his childhood, so I think the jazz would flow much.

  • @friendofGod5 better from Newman than Menken. Menken did Tangled, but I prefer this music to Tangled's more because it is an upbeat, breath of fresh air that Disney has never done before. I mean Jazz in a disney movie on it's own is an accomplishment in it's own.

  • @Ttadmer Yes but that's because Tangled wasn't based in New Orleans where everything is jazz and trust me I love New Orleans, but the reason Tangled wasn't jazzy was because it was supposed to be based on a small little kingdom princess. Princess and the Frog however was all about New Orleans and that's what New Orleans is like even the scary parts in the movie! I think Menken woulda done just as good if he had composed this film had he gotten chosen for it!

  • I want some grandkids!

  • Dr. Facilier is awesome but the real villain of this movie is clearly whoever waited Tiana's entire life to buy her restaurant the exact day she finaly had enough money to pay for it ^^

  • For me this movie just doesn't have the charm of Tangled. I know I'll get hated on for saying that, but I just don't find the music as interesting or likeable or memorable. For starters. Don't like the characters, plot, romance, etc, either....

  • @AugustineEmmeline It's okay nobody's going to hate you. I feel the same way about Tangled. I felt as though the movie was trying to hard to be funny and when it did the comedy sucked. There was some funny parts I laughed at but for the majority I wasn't. Rapunzel, while many little girls will love her, was not a favorite of mine and I prefer Tiana's hard work ethic and actual goals. The plot, was okay and the romance was alright. The only character I liked was Mother Gothel.

  • @Ttadmer Oh, haha. Tangled WAS silly, but I liked it's humor. Also, Flynn and Rapunzel are on the short list of Disney characters who actually fall in love. For me Tiana and...the Prince's romance was contrived. And I think Rapunzel is adorable, genuine, sweet. Not that Tiana is bad, I just didn't 'connect' with her. You didn't think Rapunzel's goal to see the lights was an actual goal? It was her dream, just like Tiana's was to have that restaurant! :-) Or do you mean 'real life' goal?

  • @AugustineEmmeline Well, I define a dream as something someone hopes for but never really does anything to get there. Rapunzel would have most likely stayed in that tower, if it hadn't of been for Flynn and she depended on her mother for taking her there, instead of just leaving on her own and going. Tiana actually worked hard for her goal and like her song says she was "Almost There". I could connect with Tiana, because she reminds me a lot of my mom who is a hard worker.

  • @Ttadmer I do think that if Flynn hadn't shown up and she didn't have to depend on Mother Gothel, then Rapunzel would have still found a way to get to the lights, so that's something. She WAS motivated, she just had no resources.

  • @Ttadmer Also, Rapunzel couldn't help being naive because she had never had the opportunity to know anything else. Which is the reason for most Disney princesses, but at least Rapunzel wasn't a vapid airhead who couldn't defend herself and depended on a man. She kicked ass! She was strong and ambitious. :) The only Disney princesses I would consider naive were Snow White, Ariel, and Jasmine. Cinderella, Belle, and Jane were more innocent. Pocahontas was like, wise lol. Just sayin'. :P

  • @AugustineEmmeline I agree she was very independent and didn't need a man, in fact she was saving her man throughout the whole movie xD

  • @Ttadmer Haha, yeah. Rapunzel saved Flynn quite a few times too, though. ;)

  • @Ttadmer Oh, I forgot Mulan on my list. She was just pure awesomeness. She has a category all her own. She was determined, strong. :)

  • @Ttadmer LOL and yes, Mother Gothel...oh, my. She was hilarious. I felt the movie had depth because the relationship between Mother Gothel and Rapunzel was so complex. M Gothel loved Rapunzel, but in a selfish way. But I think she did have genuine love for her, at least a little. She had raised her as her daughter! And Rapunzel obviously loved M Gothel. :) She was so naive, though, that she didn't understand their relationship was really quite twisted....

  • @AugustineEmmeline That's why I loved Mother Gothel. She was a bit goofy at first and I didn't think much of her, but seeing how twisted her ambitions were and her feelings toward Rapunzel, pretty much told me what a great character she was. I really couldn't connect with Rapunzel, because she had more or less, the cliche Disney Princess attitude, "Sweet, funny, cute, naive". And unlike this movie I have not yet found the message Tangled is supposed to convey.

  • @Ttadmer Agreed. Make no mistake, Tangled is loads of fun, but its a bit short on values, where PatF is about rising over almost impossible odds on the basis of hard work. I suspect kids will walk away from Tangled thinking its okay to whack unsuspecting people over the heads with frying pans, lmao.

  • Thumbs up if your a small business entrepeneuer who listens to this song

  • Dat Ass-I mean Dat Animation!

  • What I love about this scene is how (unlike in some other, older Disney movies) although she's the main character and does the whole singing/dancing bit, where she goes about cleaning cheerfully, everything doesn't magically seem to be perfect by the time she's done.

  • @TEdoubleGZ Best Disney Princess ever, in my opinion.

  • @ CommentWriter95

Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc,UP,Toy Story, Ratatouille,The Incredibles are all made by the same company Pixar, which has only released 12 movies ever because it takes a crap-long time to make. But I think that all the movies after 2007 are produced by Disney,so in reality Disney didnt make those movies they just did the marketing.

I think Disney flourishes with traditional animation ,the only good cgi movies were the ones made by Pixar. I think they should go back to this style.

  • @windywest11225 I disagree. I don't think the style in which you animate a movie really matters. They're both pretty in their own way. Tangled in my opinion had all the hallmarks of a Disney renaissance movie, just CGI'd. Princess and the Frog could probably have worked just as fine if it were CGI.

It's the story, the songs, the characters bla bla bla that make a good movie and the entire argument over CGI vs Hand Drawn seems rather redundant to me, like chocolate vs guitars.

  • @windywest11225 Tangled was pretty good considering it was Disney made.

  • @windywest11225 I completely agree. While I do think Tangled was a good movie, you can really tell it was designed on a 2D basis and just given a 3D coating. And people can say what they want about animation being for kids and all that, but if you have a good enough story - a.k.a. Beauty and the Beast - you can have a "cartoon" appeal to everyone and do extremely well.

  • @windywest11225 To be fair with that though, Pixar did not do Tangled. Disney and Disney alone did Tangled, not Disney Pixar. And I really like Tangled.

  • @windywest11225 What about Tangled? That was a good movie

  • @windywest11225 Disney should stick to traditional animation but in my opinion, Tangled was one of their greatest. I'm not saying Disney's animated 3D films are all that good, you can use Bolt as an example of a bad 3D film, but they're not completely hopeless when it comes to 3D.

  • 2D is the shit! :D

  • Man, I'd love to see an animated catfight between Rapunzel and Tiana. That would be sick man, they would both use frying pans, lol.

  • they did a really good job on this movie :D

  • The best Disney Princess Movie ever! XD

  • I WANT SOME GRANDKIDS!

  • i REALLY want to go to new orleans now.

  • this is the only disney princess movie that show true love, besides the beauty and beast

  • I just realized that mom is oprah's voice hahaha

  • i think im using this song for a montage of me putting some art work together, its gonna show that im "almost there" and done it kinda thing. is this a good song to use? its hard not to cuz i love it! but any other music montage suggestions???

  • i want some grandkids! lol priceless

  • love this movie. need i say more?

  • what beat this song for the Oscar?

  • Tiana is tied with Mulan for my favorite disney princess....

  • When she walks out at the end, she's wearing green and yellow, with the yellow showing in the front, just like a bullfrog.

  • For a woman that doesnt have time dancing she sure is good at it.

  • love the "I want some grandkids!" part LOL

  • Movies like this make the argument invalid. Hand drawn >>>>>>> CGI

  • I really wonder why no one really talks about this movie, I mean, it's got awesome songs, a really inspiring storyline, and an awesome heroine. What more could you possibly want?

  • Tiana is essentially the reason I like the film. Her, and maybe Facilier, although to a lesser degree. Portions of this movie are crap, but at least they got Tiana's character right.

  • This movie gave me that feeling you know? That feeling Disney used to always give. I can't explain but it's heartwarming. I dnt get that from the other Disney crap out today.

  • have . . . urge. . . . to . .. . DOWNLOAD!!!!

  • Anika Noni Rose is a goddess.

  • I WANT SOME GRANDKIDS!

  • Imagine a movie in this style. it'd be so cool, but either way, 2D animation with songs and lovable characters? Disney's getting their swag back.

  • I don't care if people assume I'm childish or not but I am proud to say I'm 21 and watch this movie on a regular basis. This is my fave Disney movie and fave Disney princess. Tiana is a major encouragement for anyone to reach for the stars and make your dreams happen don't wait for them to come.

  • Doesn't anybody else want a sequeal to this? I want the couple (an of course i mean Tiana and Naveen) to have children (for the movie to have more love and butterflies)

  • The part where Tiana walks down the stairs spinning the broom back and forth to gather cobwebs makes me think of the part in Snow White where the deer use their tails to clean the cobwebs. Anyone else think of that?

  • "I want some grandkids!" lol best part of the song

  • I really don't understand why my cousin and sister don't like this movie...tsk tsk

  • HER VOICE IS SO STRONG! IF ONLY ALL SINGERS WERE THIS GREAT <3 :D

  • After a long time, Disney made a movie that brings back the magic

  • i love how this movie and cinderella show princess who work hard for there happily ever after (cinderella she worked as a slave and never complained same here)

  • Five people don't know what they're talking about. Who wouldn't like this song?

  • I love this movie, because it cuts the bullshit. You can't just wish on a star and expect everything you want to appear. You have to get off your ass and work to make them appear.

  • Now THIS is a disney movie

  • Not only is Tiana the only Disney princess I can stand, but I freaking love her.

  • This clip has a beautiful animation and music.

  • Am I the only who thinks it would've been really cool if the whole movie had been animated like in fantasy segment?

  • New Orleans: making it cool and respectable to be black in america. Most american blacks suffer from a complete lack of culture and end up scorned both by the africans of their ancestral land and the other residents of their new home. In New Orleans it is different. They have a history of accomplishments and pride. You stand out just looking at them because you can see their strength in their eyes and stance. They shine.

  • This is the kind of movie that gets nostalgic the moment you watch it.

  • Screw computer generated animation. This is much more genuine and memorable. Most of all, it's nostalgic and is the disney we love!

  • @Regal4point1 see, the thing is, people generally associate hand drawn animation with good stories. This is usually true, but there are CGI movies with great story lines as well. You just have to look :)

  • @cgsilverscreen2020 It's not about storytelling. It's just more genuine and it feels more from the heart.

  • @Regal4point1 ...This is also made by computer. Just saying.

  • @beybladefaruba It was made using hand drawn animation techniques, even if they used a computer to create it. The point is it's not cgi and it took some actual drawing instead of computer generated art.

  • @beybladefaruba This movie was actually drawn most of the time. Instead of completely by computer. I miss old disney <3

  • @beybladefaruba , Most technological things done in the last twenty years have some kind of computer use, but wasn't drawing still the basis?

  • @Regal4point1 :O tangled? and UP? and toy story? the incredibles? ratatouille? hey i grew up with mulan and pocahontas too but dont be dissing the newer ones either!

  • @CommentWriter95 I'm not dissing them, they were great movies, but I think Disney should continue to do this style since their cgi movies have not been the best.

  • But, what really bugs me is that when she mentions "trials and tribulations" she says "I've had my share," but shouldn't it be "we've had our share," as in her and the mother? Or, "we've climbed a mountain and crossed a river"? I'm nitpicking, though, and in all fairness she says "we're almost there" at the film's start, although the "I've had my share" line reminds me of Ratigan for some reason, lol.

  • I wish they had chosen someone other than Oprah for the mother...anybody, Dionne Warwick, Diahan Carroll, hell even Maya Angelou. One, because I want to hear her sing, and two, Oprah is way too recognizable to be taken seriously

  • @102936 ...I didn't even notice it was Oprah. xD

  • @FemPrussia Yeah, alot of publicity surrounded Oprah's inclusion, at least from what I saw, so I could only see the mom as being voiced by Oprah, lol.

  • @102936 u so think a world wide known poet voice wouldn't have been as recognizable that's odd

  • @devore504 I know, sad, isn't it? That should be a no-brainer, but ask a random person on the street who Maya Angelou is, nowadays, and you'll get "uhhhh..." Maybe fifteen years ago you might have gotten a different response, but nowadays?

  • forget cinderella......tiana <3

  • In personal opinion, this movie was better then Tangled.

  • @Makilore Tiana is at least way prettier than Rapunzel

  • @102936 , @Makilore Yeah, the crayons they used are way sexier.... LISTEN TO YOURSELVES!

  • @102936 Less naive too.

  • thank you deary :D i need this song to keep me alive :D

  • 3 people still think Tiana is crazy.

  • 3 people are already there, and they felt like gloating.

  • This and Friends on the Other Side are my favorite songs in this great movie.

  • @MikeKraemer same

  • You can see-hell, FEEL-how much fun the animators had with this scene.

  • I have totally raped the replay button :-3

  • yesssss this song is amazing and the animation and the artistic style they went with for this sequence is stunning

  • 2:26

  • sounds so beautiful

  • My favourite princess. Gaaagha hsf hga.<3

  • I love this song. Very motivating.

  • As soon as the Art Deco sequence started I knew I was going to love this movie.

  • I'm in high school and I HATE IT. I watch this movie a lot. I just started senior year. ALMOST THERE!!!! DDDX

  • "I want some grandkids!" lol

  • "My daddy never got what he wanted, but he had what he needed!"

favorite quote in the whole movie!

  • I really really want to see this and Tangled, but especially this. How nice Disney is finally going back to 2D, the thing that made them famous.

  • I've watched this movie every single day -_- :p But i still won't get tired of it and I know Every Line To This Movie

  • @SamRock122121 I am totally like that every night during summer! X3 I love it so much! Me and my friend quote from it.
