  • CRAP THIS IS OLD

  • yes!!!! get 2 and seend me 1.

  • Y'ALL ARE SILLY...CUTE!

  • Oh, please. Just consider a haircut. Just think about it. Both of you. Really.

  • @eyesontheplanet

Their hair is beautiful! Matt & Angela have natural beautiful hair and it has a natural healthy shine :)

  • I worked in a hotel in Ohio and the windows totally opened and this was only just a few years ago... Weird!

  • Haha, this guy looks like Isaac Newton. No offence, I think it's cool.

  • You two must be a great couple! I really enjoy your upbeat attitude and optimistic approach. There isn't a negative undertone to it so it's a lot of fun to watch and it's very interesting.

  • Vegetarians always have pale skin and black rings around their eyes. I think it's time to give those K9's a good workout and get some vitamin B12 in the system.

  • @adamresyk2112 I have seen many Omnivores with the same skin and circles under the eyes. I don't think it 's a mattter of eating meat as much as it is eating healthy so there aren't any nutritional deficiencies. For those who don't eat meat, they may get B12 from Nutritional Yeast. It comes in flakes or a powder and it kind of has a cheesy flavor. It's great in sauces and on salads, and even by itself.

  • @adamresyk2112 I'm not a vegetarian and I struggle with pale skin and dark circles under my eyes. It has to do more with stress, sleep, and well balanced nutrition than on whether I'm eating meat or not.

  • @SarahJ83 OMG! That's hilarious!! My theory is true. It would be funny to get a room full of vegetarians and go round the room one by one and ask each of them why they think they have pale skin and dark circles under the eyes. I bet NONE of them would put 2 and 2 together. They'd say "we are all vegetarians", "we all have pale skin and circle under the eyes", "and that's just a coincidence" lol :) :)

  • I love it when Matt bangs on about refined sugar and processed starches. You can hear the passion in his voice.

  • were would you get hemp seeds?

  • @futureisourpast I can find them at most health food stores and often if you don't find them, ask about them. sometimes they can bring them in for you.

  • AND - Sugar is a DRUG. An addiction as hard to break as crack cocain or something. Show some compassion for people who are faced with that challenge. Stop making is sound like "oh" it's so easy - Just stop eating sugar "he he". You are dealing with people who are ADDICTS to sugar. Again, show some compassion.

  • It's wrong to tell people - Don't do this, don't do that ... don't - No - Don't Do ...Don't yada yada yada. All your doing is making people Relapse. Going into a Raw diet should be a slow and gradual process.

  • enter your text here! hahahaha

  • He makes raw food seem so fun and exciting! such a refreshing change from david wolfe and other raw "gurus". Love him. :)

  • My main concern as someone who wants to go raw is, how can you switch to a raw diet and support local/seasonal eating at the same time? Beside from living in Hawaii year round, how do you have access to local fruits, nuts and vegetables year round?

  • @toosmitty That's a tough one. I'm trying to figure that here in the Northwest. I will garden again this summer and plan on dehydrating and freezing. I'll also pickle and ferment foods like Kim Chi and Pickled Jalapenos. Produce such as squash, potatos and carrots may store well when kept in a cool place (check out The Vegetable Gardener's Bible). I go local when I can but make a few exceptions. It has to travel, but at least there's significant difference in carbon footprint opting for Organic.

  • LOL i love how Angela just shakes her head lol :) you two are so cute :) lol.

  • You're so clean shaven here! NICE :) And your hair looks great!! Totally nice :)

  • Very important point! It really doesn't matter how much sweet fruit and greens you are consuming if you are still maxing out on meat, dairy, processed sugar, etc.

  • This is webcam? Actually works pretty good!

  • Every time I see your shows I think to myself, "They are so cute!" : )

  • what. bread. BREAD?! no. why? what about whole grained bread?? T_T

  • you guys are grreat! Who are you?? you rocks!

  • we just started a "green shake" diet and my husband has already lost 10 lbs! check out our videos!

  • You guys are so cute together!!

Thanks for all of the tips!!

  • You guys Love looking at each other!!!!

Reminds me of the Poet Khalil Gibran.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

    Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;

For love is sufficient unto love.

    Kahlil Gibran

    The Prophet, On Love

  • raw sprouted buckwheat is a processed starch? I eat the buckwheat dehydrated, its raw. I dont cook the buckwheat.

  • I don't and won't be going 100% raw...The cooked foods that I do eat are usually healthful...If I fry food, I do it with canola or olive oil...So there's no need to go 100% raw...Am I to eat brown rice raw?...I also love eggs and I avoid eating the yolk...Am I supposed to eat eggs raw too?...What about bread?...Bread is baked, but I eat only 100% whole wheat bread...I eat organic raw and cooked foods as often as I can...I don't see the sense in going 100% raw if I'm already getting my nutrients.

  • Dude you eat what works for you. This is just a suggestion. You sound a little angry there, now that's not healthy.

The microbiotic diet is all cooked and that works wonder for some. We don't all have the same body type. If eating what you're eating makes you happy and you feel good, then more blessings to you.

  • Ah! I am so confused! I do all this research about raw food veganism -- but always see bee pollen and raw honey! That's not vegan, if I'm not mistaken...

  • Yes thats true but Raw Foodism focuses more on raw food than on the vegan part. It's more that veganism falls into the raw food category the majority of the time because animal products are not only extremely unhealthy but they should not be eaten raw. In that sense, honey and bee pollen falls into a subcategory since it is healthy raw and has vast health benefits. I believe that it is because it comes from an insect rather than an animal... anyways i hope that helped :)

  • I think it is. An insect makes it, it's not like caviar which comes from inside of a fish.

  • Lol, this guy never knows what day it is.

  • i love you guys, this is so great! ha ha... i love the drama ;)

  • "I'm freezing my bum off" - Getting more English by the day.

  • gread vid and tips but what are the examples of the bad foods we eat; that would be helpful

ps. by the way you both look cute together ;)

  • Can i eat cereal?

  • Cereal is refined grains and sugars.. and you eat cereal with milk which is a processed food as well. If you're asking if cereal is a raw food? No, it is a processed food, and it isn't particularly good for you.

  • LOL, Im originally from Ohio, at 18 I left and never went back. The cops are very aggressive there giving tickets.

  • LOL They think they're Turbo Cops in Ohio.

    I LOVE YOU BOTH!

    I have your book, Matt!

  • get to the point homie

  • I know raw food is best for us, but, what's wrong with eating organic meat that is low in fat like turkey, chicken and fish?

  • all animal fats/meat are acidic foods (acid forming foods) and turkey for instance is "very" high in sodium! not to good, Its best to eat high alkaline foods (ph balancing foods, raw fruits and vegetables that have not had all the vitamins, enzymes nutrients cooked out of them) for optimal health and to prevent cancer, diseases and even kill off cancer cells in the body.

  • Can someone exist solely on raw food smoothies?...I love making them but I do love cooked foods as well, the organic kind...Should I cut out cooked foods altogether?

  • well a lot of raw foods have more nutrients than cooked foods but some foods when cooked or frozen like broccoli & kale, increase on the orac scale (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). I'm not 2 sure on it you will have to do your own research. u don't have 2 b a 100% raw if u dont want. Its about finding the right balance for you body. We do not necessarily need any meats if we know what 2 eat in its place, even 50% raw is a good health choice, its up 2 u what u want to put into your body.

  • smoothies are pretty good for better absorbtion (no chewing) its good to kinda swish squish your mouth when drinking to release serotonin 4 better digestion but its also good to eat foods in there whole form for texture and for body to break them down, research what u want 2 put into your body, orac scale, alkaline & acdic foods, the properties of foods, vitamins, nutrients, protein, saturated fats, beta-carotine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, sulfer (MSM powder) omegas, minerals, nuts, seeds.

  • nothing, but to some raw foodists they say the animal dies..... big deal thats wat theyre for... for us to eat.... we are at the top of the food chain after all :D

  • When discussing veganism there are three main reasons that vegans explain their reasoning. Meat has a detrimental effect on one's health, the enviroment, and to the animals. The part about the animals is based upon the animal cruelty that occurs in the meat industry which is inhumane, inexcusable, and utterly horrendous. Become informed about the meat you eat before judging those that are informed.

  • absolutely noting...just expensive:)

  • cooked food is toxic.

  • why do you say that cooked food is toxic?

  • it's one of the number one arguments for the raw food diet .. it becomes this way by destroying the enzymes and nutrients in the food. i recommend checking out the book the 'live food factor'.

  • i know raw is the best way to go...i'm just saying what's wrong with a good balance of raw and cooked food, as long as both are organic?

  • being a fair percentage 'raw' is certainly better than nothing, but you won't be able to completely allow your system to heal and cleanse itself until you *leave out* problem foods .. like cooked food which is devoid of nutrients. the body stresses over not being able to reap and benefits from the food and ends up storing it to deal with later. no matter how many good foods you eat, you won't see the full (and incredible) difference until you are close to or at 100%. just read up! :)

  • but foods still retain some of their nutrition when they're cooked, especially when they're not overcooked...i love raw foods and hopefully i'll go 100% raw one day...it's just kind of impractical for me to do that at this point...I eat chicken and fish and vegetarian meals such as tofu and beans, etc...whenever i eat pasta and rice it's whole wheat...going 100% raw is a bit too extreme for me right now.

  • tnat's understandable, a lot of people have a hard time weaning themselves off of cooked food .. but really, if you read up more i'm sure you'd be convinced enough that the pros outweight the cons (the only con i can see being having to give up something you like).

  • it's also very expensive to go raw 100%...i know it's worth it, but right now i can only afford to go raw 50% of the time...i'm feeling super great so i must be doing something right...one day i'll go fully raw though.

  • it doesn't have to be expensive! remember, you're cutting out a lot of food groups, and as you progress you'll find you need less and less food to be satisfied. simplicity is key, you don't even need all the fancy recipes. go at your own pace though, of course, you'll get there :)

  • I still want to have a good balance between raw and cooked foods...I think that's a good way to go...I love grilled organic chicken, seasoned with organic seasonings, and I'm not willing to give that up, at least not at this point...I also love organic soups, particularly from Amy's Kitchen, and I'm not willing to give that up right now...But, I also love my raw smoothies, raw salads, 85% cocoa organic chocolate, fruits of all kinds, raw nuts, etc...For me, a good bal bet raw & cooked works best

  • fishandfestival, I'm totally with you. Love raw food too, and don't forget Salmon! :)

  • Glad we're on the same page...Salmon is fantastic and I love it...I like most seafoods...Do you eat chicken?

  • Meat is one of the major no-nos in finding ultimate health. Check out the documentary "Food that Kills". If your in a position where eating 100% raw is not feasible I understand b/c I'm currently in that situation. The key is to choose the best of the cooked. Foods to avoid are any processed, refined foods, sugar(unless naturally occuring), animal products, trans fats, white flour, and fried foods. Instead focus on whole grains, beans, and peas as your only source of cooked food.

  • im comming off a 12 day water fast today and going into a raw food lifestyle.

I lost about 16 pounds during the fast.

I want to lose about another 10-20 pounds.

If i go 100% raw will the rest of the weight come off?

or will raw foods actually make me regain the weight i started at?

  • angela is looking so cute this time,...

the way she says no..with her head movin...wow

  • You both are my favs I always enjoy the videos

  • I think they love eachother...it's quite obvious...:)

  • I don't want to gross anyone out but I saw Meet the Meat and it cured me of any desire to eat eggs, milk or meats ever again.

  • nice, where do you get that? Is it a documentary?

  • I got it on YOUTUBE, it says Meet the Meat it will cure you from ever wanting eggs, miik cheese and all that stuff I mean you still might want cheese and stuff but when you think about how your going to get it its not worth it.

  • thanks i'll look for it now.

  • I'm seriousy considering getting off the meat.

  • HEY, but the middle aisles at Sunflower Market in Tucson ARE the produce!! (That's what I love about that place...the heart of the food market is the raw food...just the way it should be!) ;)

  • Thanks for the tips, guys!!! Keep up the great work!!!

  • what does matt monarch shave with ? check mantic59

  • was this a live broadcast ? it looks like it

  • I only been raw for four days and I have no craving for cooked foods or sweets, but I still like my breakfast bread. I wil stop when its all gone. then I will be 100% raw. it took me two years to get the bread so thats why I haven't given it up. But I love being 90% raw.

  • sounds like a good way to detox, I lost weight through detox as well and am quite proud of it.

  • i am a witness of how damaging refined sugar and processed starches are. yes they are the hardest to eliminate from my diet but i am working on it.

  • you two are TOO CUTE!!!

  • I go into anaphylactic shock when I get stung by a bee (means my throat closes and I cannot breathe within seconds) and I am able to eat bee pollen with no problems. :)

  • I have a question. How do you quantify percentage raw in a diet? By weight, volume, calories? Just wondering.

    thanks for your help

  • Aloha,

THANKS for all the great tips!!!

Please tell me where I can get this bee pollen?

ALSO, I am highly allergic to bee stings everytime I get stung I have to go to the hospital, Does that mean I can't take bee pollen?

    LOVE to you guys!!!!!

    Warmest Aloha's,

    Cynthia

  • actually including fish will make you healthier than a 100% raw foodist :P and lol if the 100% raw vegan diet was the healthiest then how come we dont have raw vegan centarians running around or arnold eheret devotees?? and how come most of the old centerians werent even vegan or vegetarian? i know there great questions.. i think sometimes we have to lower our pride and strict form of adherence to a diet and be humble..

  • lol u go right ahead and live on bee pollen :)

  • Comment removed
