Hasn't the argument always been that the state or government should not have to pay for abortions in the first place? For the most part I agree that: they should not (unless it were employer-provided health care). You're right, a lot of women wouldn't randomly jump a guy, the odds are that he'll be able to subdue her. But a lot of the rapes happen by a woman who knows the man and guilt trips him when he doesn't want it, or drugging him, or doing something else to subdue him. I think it happens a lot more than we think, and it shouldn't be ignored.

As for your point, the flip side is that it's weighing a one-time payment (abortion) against a payment that extends for several years. (Child support.) Even if you assume that not having money for the bill for the abortion means one cannot get it at all (not quite sure how it works) then whether having to carry it for months or pay for it for years is a matter of priorities.

Firstly, the issue with abortion is the idea that it "kills" a human life. Said human life is at that point an insentient fetus, but again, from their perspective that is still a human life. So, really, opposing abortion even in those circumstances is just consistency on their part.
But furthermore, there are several degrees of separation between saying abortion should be legal and saying tax money from everyone should go to using it. I support both, but let's not conflate the two here.

i think the military has certain rules in place so they aren't blamed for endorsing abortion, because some people will always view it as murder. however, our military has changed over the past 50 years and females are now on the fron lines (evidently), so laws need to be changed. The military has to be very careful the don't create more ghastly loopholes, and laws have to be well thought out. Emotion is what causes rape and bastards to begin with. Additionally, depending on where ur stationed u may have no or extreamly limted access 2 an abortion even w/in the US. Let alone a way 2 get there &pay for it. Hasn't the argument always been that the state or government should not have to pay for abortions in the first place? For the most part I agree that: they should not (unless it were employer-provided health care). You're right, a lot of women wouldn't randomly jump a guy, the odds are that he'll be able to subdue her. As for your point, the flip side is that it's weighing a one-time payment (abortion) against a payment that extends for several years. (Child support.) Firstly, the issue with abortion is the idea that it "kills" a human life. Said human life is at that point an insentient fetus, but again, from their perspective that is still a human life. So, really, opposing abortion even in those circumstances is just consistency on their part.
But furthermore, there are several degrees of separation between saying abortion should be legal and saying tax money from everyone should go to using it. I support both, but let's not conflate the two here.

i think the military has certain rules in place so they aren't blamed for endorsing abortion, because some people will always view it as murder. however, our military has changed over the past 50 years and females are now on the fron lines (evidently), so laws need to be changed. The military has to be very careful the don't create more ghastly loopholes, and laws have to be well thought out. Emotion is what causes rape and bastards to begin with. Additionally, depending on where ur stationed u may have no or extreamly limted access 2 an abortion even w/in the US. Let alone a way 2 get there &pay for it. U may have to travel hundreds or even thousands of miles just to access ur choice. Nothing says the female solder has 2 have an abortion but she should have access 2 one if she makes that choice.
