To all the people who are wondering why Dr. "Robotnik" was changed to Dr. "Eggman"--it's because his name was always "Eggman" in Japan, and they decided to go with his original Japanese name in the later games (And yet, funnily enough, Sonic Team decided to put "Robotnik Empire" and "Dr. Gerald Robotnik" in the Sonic Adventure games. Go figure.).

As for another famous name change, I'm more partial to Princess "Toadstool" of the Mushroom Kingdom, myself. ;)

Sonic 1,2,3 and sonic spin ball, are my favorites. i dont know what happened to the newer games but they turned robotneck into .. eggman? wtf is that anyway? and the new games themselves are just retarded. makes me mad that they killed such a great thing...and look at the mario series , they make great mario games to this day, why couldnt they do that with good ol sonic also

I loved this stage when I first played this game. It was so refreshing to recapture the speed of the Green Hill Zone after going through the monotony of the god-awful Labyrinth zone.

I could do act 2 quick. In GCN use level select.

When Sonic appears. Press up down left right B+Start

Then go down to sound test press start, then as Sonic appears press up X down X left X right X B+Start, go to Starlight act 2 press B+Start.

A turns you into a ring. Turn to a ring, go inside the spring, turn back into sonic. The game will bash. When it goes back, you will be past the sign post, but haven't cleared the stage yet. go back and your done in -15 guaranteed!

Yeah this is the best music ever on a sonic zone. I like the somari music of this stage also, the sonic genesis one a bit, but no reaches even the quality of the somari stage music. So Mega Drive > Somari > GBA.
