Pik 2 is a lot tougher than the first game. After a litttle bit of practice, getting the 30 pieces becomes very easy. You can beat the game in 17-18 days quite easily. My record is finishing in 14 days.

challenge mode is very hard in pikmin 2,and to be fair pikmin 1 never really had much of a challenge on the 30 day thing,pikmin 2 inserts caves and some of which are alot harder then anything you face in pikmin 1

I've never fought the final boss for Pikmin 1, but I gather that once you know the strategy, it can be easy to beat. Though sometimes, knowing is only half the battle.

In Pikmin, though, with the time constraint, it can be difficult to figure out how to get the most out of your time, between getting ship parts, clearing out obstacles for Pikmin carrying said ship parts, occasionally restoring your Pikmin population, and other worries.

Pikmin 2 is a fantastic game. I just finished it for the second time (all treasures). Pikmin 1 is short, but great fun. 2 is easily the better game, but I love both.

Its among the best for the gcn! See, this was made during the time when gcn games were good, sort of near the end. It is recommended, however, that you play pikmin 1 before Pikmin 2. Its a great classic, and will prepare you for Pikmin 2.

Of course its fun. Its a strategy like game that requires leadership commanding skills and tactics, like you were building an empire. But be warned, as the difficult is rather high for the difficulty levels of back then, especially now. But it is fun nonetheless, and you should find it. Don't listen to people who say it is crap, those are the people who just tap buttons, and don't put much skill and effort in to things.
