    practise practise practise, like learning handstand.

    For the planche position you need much more strength as for handstand.

    As you need for the Flag ;)

  • @unknownmovement its a bit late, but if your havnt already do psuedo press ups with your hands by you waist, this gains planche strength, so you can push up from there

  • I can do 9 pull ups on a regular pull up bar. i was talking about doing a pull up the 1/4 inch trim of a door. I am also in very good shape i run cross country and track and place often. Next time read the comment you dumb butt wiper

    if you are going over, drive your fingers in, it won't be massively effective at first, but as you practice, you will be able to coordinate the rest of your body and time it properly

  • to train for one arm pullups/chinups,

    Do pullups/chin ups

    train tuck plance, train tuck to handstand, train handstands, its common sense really..

  • Unless I misunderstood what you said, training tuck, tuck to handstand, and handstands will have minimal effect of pullups/chinups. Pull ups and chins use mainly lats and biceps with some fore arms and other back muscles a bit too, so training for those other exercises which are pushing won't help much.

  • Correct. Different muscles are activated in pushing and pull motion. Pull mainly uses biceps and back, while push uses mainly triceps and chest. There are many stabilizers in between- delts, traps, forarms, ect. What constitute a movement being push or pull is if you are bringing your hands closer or further away from your center of gravity.

  • Hi, thanks very much, I breakdance and train parkour so all this strength is through them, you are correct in saying its not through gym ;) gyms are for posers :p
