I love bad films (The Room is amazing), but the main problem with this was that once you got used to the sheer crapness of the acting, effects, editing etc. it was just really boring.

Silly Putty was made intending to replace tire rubber. I think a better observation is that Nguyen realized how shitty his movie was about 4/5 through, gave up, and decided to just do another "So bad it's good" in order to maybe make some money/get attention.
