See how they call this a great save! The best saves a goalie makes are his butterfly boring ones. Elliot made a big mistake in the corner and therefore had to get in an onorthodox position. So, I wouldn't call this a great save, but a good desperation move.

On the other hand, Hasek used to make those complete robberies with some consistency, when at his prime. But his style was very unorthodox, and it's still a bit mind-boggling how he managed to make it work. You're not going to make the save unless you try, so I guess that's the skill part, sort of.
