Making the environment real time would be pretty sweet. The character models could stay blocky, since they work very well in the context. Game has an awesome art style that actually worked pretty well with the technological limitations.

An awesome remake would be awesome.

Don't know if your still having problems with this because it was a month ago. But your computer is probably too fast so you need to search for the patch to slow that bit down. Just Google Grim Fandango patch!
