I swear, the beginning part was good. the special effects were top notched for its time, but when they started adding the run in gags,and a couple of other zoanoids, it declined sharply. It was basically the beginning, and end that I had to say was rated 5/5. The middle man part was usually around 2.9-3.2 out of 5 and in my opinion worst character of the film was the rapping zoanoid who looks like Jar Jar binks, and the extras sucked too. So in the end, movie got a 3.25 rating out of 5 stars.
the genius man known as Steve Wang, actually wanted this to be darker, more dedicated to its manga version, but he had hardly any control over it unlike the sequal dark hero. I guess the boys in charge were tryin to make it like "a certain actions kids show that was popular in the 90's."
actual story: A prototype of a new zoanoid stole 3 units. He was hired by one who became later guyver 3. The 3 units got seperated during an explosion, in which one got damaged. (Guyver 2), In the movies the guyver is so weak. The strength of the guyver is enourmous that special zoanoids needed to be created to match its power. A guyver can kill hundreds of normal zoinaid without a problem. For example with his head beam. the blades along cut a comman zoanoid into half. even crushing skulls.
This was an awesome Guyver movie when I was a kid and I got it on dvd. But I say Guyver 2 was way better because of the action was more faster and alot more fighting then comedy lol They do need to remake a new movie but dont F#@$ it up like other remakes lol

I would like to see a modern remake of Guyver Live Action possibly with John Woo at the helm, I think he could do it justice and keep relativly true to the original anime version. This version as entertaining as it is doesn't take the guyver seriously enough

It is NOT Mark Hamil that play's guyver in this film. Guyver/sean baker is played by Jack Armstrong. Mark Hamil is however in this move but he playes Max Reed, the detective.

It is NOT Mark Hamil that play's guyver in this film. Guyver/sean baker is played by Jack Armstrong. Mark Hamil is however in this move but he playes Max Reed, the detective.

Why the hell was this film renamed as 'Mutronics' in Britain ? There were Manga fans in Britain at the time this film came out and we knew about the character of 'The Guyver'. So why treat us like idiots ?

no, if you watch from the star his trainer tells sean. you need to control your anger ( somethink simular) .but his anger turns him into the guyver

but tht part with the trainer has nothing to do with the guyver suit and in the second guyver movie and the anime series he just says guyver and he turns into the suit
