I'm a Chinese born in France (you'd notice that english is not my mother tongue) and I'm completely at the loss of word, I cried and the only thing I did after watching this was dreaming that I could punch the face of these heartless people. Trust me, seeing my OWN country people acting like this is disgusting me. But as much as I hate the behaviors of these people I also dislike racism and some persons ways of generalizing everything because SOME people did it.
The journalist explain the situation. She says that there is no blood shown but it'll be hard for the conscience and the heart. The title on top of the picture says : Cold blooded driver and pedestrians. Around 17:30 a little girl called Yue Yue, two years old is walking in the street, a bread selling car appears and suddenly accelerate ( what the hell? ), bumping into Yue Yue and pushing her down in the wheels the car.
The driver seems to have noticed it but instead of helping her he ran away running on her a second time. After that during 7 minute a dozen of people came across her, acting like nothing happened. Then a second car appears, the narrator says that the 2nd car didn't notice the little girl and ran over her. For the next 5 minutes ten persons pass without doing anything. Yue Yue who was still somewhat conscious ( you can see that she moves a little ) showed no more movements.
Finally the 19th person, an aunt ( whose job is garbage collector ) notice the little girls and try to get her up, but Yue Yue body was like of a doll ( or something like that ) so the aunt had to put her on the side. The mother ( black dressed ) after hearing the screams/calls comes out and immediately goes to the hospital. The doctors said that the back of her brain suffered something and that her life is in real danger.
The parents who has already shed all their tears begs that they just want two thing, to have their child live healthily and to find the 1st driver ( whose plate was not shown in the camera due to light reflection, the 2nd driver being caught ).
Narrator : All of you have seen this, if only the 1st driver or the passers by did something then Yue Yue would clearly be in a better state than right now. Checking, lending a hand, stopping a car, make a phone call to the 120 is it really that hard? Where did your conscience go ? Seeing this news is really disappointing me, really really disappointing.
It was a hard decision for driver, I think. To go out of car and save a child and become poor beggar (due to high cost of medications and treatment) or just kill her and pay about $1500. The choice is obvious, I'm afraid.

I heard the news last night by Cambodia local news, the little girl was injured last week in Guangzhou was gone. I hope the police will caught the driver go to jail soon, and punish the driver a whole life sentence in jail
Why is the little girl left wondering alone? Why did the first driver knock her down when he can see her at a distance? The first driver seems to speed up to knock her down. The lady seems to be talking to someone in the direction of the mother before picking her up. You would assume the mother would be running towards her but it looks like she just walk over. After the mother picks her up, she clamly walk away with her. Something is not right. My heart goes out to the little girl.

Wow. That is the most shamefull example of just how inhumane humans can be towards one another. People are all on here bagging on the Chinese, but I have seen simular video of an elderly man be run over and ignored by New York pedestrians. This has nothing to do with nationality, and everything to do with a complete lack of humanity. Disgracefull and heartwrenching. As a father this was very hard to watch.

I believe the two drivers of the vehicles that ran over Yue Yue were found and arrested. It's too bad that all the passing people who didn't help couldn't be identified, tracked down and punished as well.
This situation is typical of China, however. Watch other car accident videos from China and you'll see the same lack of assistance for injured people. People will walk or drive past and they might glance at the victim, but they will not help.

Why is the little girl left wondering alone? Why did the first driver knock her down when he can see her at a distance? The first driver seems to speed up to knock her down. The lady seems to be talking to someone in the direction of the mother before picking her up. You would assume the mother would be running towards her but it looks like she just walk over. After the mother picks her up, she clamly walk away with her. Something is not right. My heart goes out to the little girl.
