I think we all have had a person in our life that we could not satisfy. We tried and tried, but nothing we did seemed to convey how much we really cared. Then after being denied so many times, we try to move on and just forget about that person, but we can't, because everywhere we look we just get reminded of how much we used to love him/her. This song, in my opinion, is a perfect expression of how we feel.
