Avoiding obvious comments about Don Carson's hair for the moment... it's awesome to see that loop of Gloria approaching the Outer Banks! At that point, Jim and I were just outside the western eyewall and though it was in total darkness and we couldn't see much of what was going on, this storm still left an incredible impression on me from the unbelievable wind noise... easily some of the loudest and eeriest I've ever experienced!
