  • This is your favorite version? What the hell is the matter with you? This is the worst version I ever heard of this song. Sloppy, totally out of tune, Joe's voice is shot.

  • @kingofpotassium Yeah, I love how gloriously ramshackle it is. And Joe is absolutely ON FIRE. He sings with an absurd amount of conviction normally, but this is over the top. He also adlibs a good amount too ("YA FUCKING CUNT!").

    What versions do you prefer?

  • @matedog2 ByQ2mVgVOao

  • @kingofpotassium That's a really good version. Almost solemn, with the focus on the melody (that Joe didn't quite get right on the album). Still I prefer the fire and passion of the live versions.

  • @kingofpotassium That's what makes it so fuckin' great!!

  • Very Cool matedog2,Joe deserves all the tributes in the world.Really admire this man.

  • I am Jpanese.

I LOVE this song of all THE CLSH's songs!!

  • great vid, excellent job cutting together, thanks for the upload

  • Great editing - well done!

  • in the band's proximate surroundings only LETTS had film gear...on those days he only had super8. RUDE BOY shot on super16. Remember, if yr a film student in England...you do it three years...then you GO STRAIGHT TO THE DOLE ORIFICE to collect your pitance and then you die...Film students in GB don't make films...they rot. Only aristocrats sons make Shakespeare movies or other boring flicks like that.

  • i don't think RUDE BOYS bad at all...it goes beyond the clash in another dimension. The makes wanted the PISTOLS but the was self-destroying...they wanted to illustrate the time and the place and WHO did t better than them? RUDE BOY really is a great flick and for many reasons, one being that it shows vibrant clash scenes. Jones disagreed, simonon didnt care, Topper well?? and sTRrummer liked the movie he said. I think only JOE had the vision that this film could carry THE CLASH flag and...

  • well made vid

  • Excellent edit, thanks for taking the time to put it together!

  • there will never be another band like the Clash,..the attitude, cloths, the mission they were on,they way they treated their fans,.the albums, the musical direction they took with Londons Calling,..and Strummer,..what a front man,..you know he really ment it when he was up there,...r.i.p Joe,...PUNK ROCK WARLORD...

  • I grew up listening to the Clash, they are still my all time favorite band. I just wanted to say thanks for your work on editing these videos and sharing them with us.

  • Belgrade Calling !

  • Thank you so much, I will certainly buy it.

    Long live The Clash.

  • For any big fan, Rude Boy is essential. The movie is terrible, but there is a ton of great footage of the band even if it is 95% overdubbed.

  • Thanks for posting this awesome clip, Matedog2. Could you please tell me from where you took the part of the video in which Joe sings "by guttersnipes" at 1:58? Rude Boy Rehearsal, maybe? Is it on sale on dvd or free on the web anywhere? Thanks.

  • Yeah it's from the movie Rude Boy which is commercially available. I'm not sure which country you are in, but I know it is easily available in the UK and the US. Try amazon.

  • hahaha that is awesome!!!! thanx!

  • Great work man, just shows how intense the Clash really were on stage.

  • Enjoyed that Mate!
