Many years ago. prime time started at 7:30 until the feds stepped in and gave the half hour back to local TV stations, to promote local progamming. .. but they ended up showing reruns or game shows...
I couldn't believe that the 7:30 start time of shows flopped. In just a few months, they would go back to it's normal routine. I wonder if their were any other stations involved in the 7:30/6:30 start times back then? That was crazy for them in those days.

Meanwhile, the voice heard at point 5:15 (announcing that the newscast was a repeat) was Peggy Taylor.

This is from 1987, not 1986. The checkerboard block of sitcoms mentioned at 0:23 premiered in September of '87.
