  • Oi barman! another pint!

  • Bleedin legend, magical tones from a skin, love it.

  • does anyone have any idea how much a bodhran like this would cost?

  • Apparently you have to wait until the end of the video before leaving a comment I was in trouble around the 3 minute mark............. how come we've never used the bohran to tortue people... the japs used to use a dripping tap

  • I lasted 3:24 I don't thing I can hang around for the full 7:24

  • Hey plank 25 does he have a twin in cork?

  • its all about brendan white bodhrans!! great stuff tho from the jon jo...

  • My sister's friend's cousin's mother's great uncle's friend grandfathers cousins long lost distant orphaned dyslexic friend invented the bodhran and is the best player in the universe and he also shits shepherds pie.

  • That is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

  • Hahahahahahahaha thats gas!

  • Yup outa dat!!! He is serious......

  • all this topend style is getting abit long in the tooth they all play the samething over and over you can't tell one player from the other just a fast cheap way of playing the bodhrán sounding flash and whats with all the tape ? no good skins around ?

  • This guy is crazy! :D

  • This Bodhran was made by Irish Man Paul Loughlin in Nantes (Brittany)

  • Yeah you're right, it sounds far superior to the Hedwischacks, though looks similar and uses thumb screws like Rob Forkner started using.

  • How do you know? Have you compared the two? I played both drums, the Hedwitschak copy by Paul which can be seen and many Hedwitschaks. Both sounded great.

But I am sure you know better

  • He Kev,

you are always talking aout ripp-offs...

THIS is a ripp-of of MY drums.

While the RWE was created with the help of Seamus O´Kane, who is a friend of mine as well as his son Diarmaid who you also called a ripp-off-maker...

And the thumb screws were used by Malachy Kearns at least 15 years BEFORE Rob Forkner.

(you can check this out on Malachy´s website).

So better do your homework BEFORE posting this rubbish.

    Poor, lonesome guy.

I guess you had a hard childhood...

  • fantastic live band is flook-fills you with happiness

  • Best bodhran player on earth PERIOD.

  • I'd agree with that!

  • @Clairebikecity I havent't seen John joe kelly in one hell of a long time and to be honest he is not a bad player but and this is a big but I am watching this guy do stuff which is my trademark and to be honest I am a little hacked off that he is doing that, however he has a long way to go to do most of all the other stuff which I do, he is good and I dont know if he has ever seen me play so I cant actually say that he has ripped me off but seems odd he is doing bits and pieces of my repetoire..

  • @markbodhran where's your latest performance on YouTube, keen to check it out.

  • @greepo I will try and get a recording of me playing at some point in the future, cant do anything right now as I am all worked out lol, look out for it because I will get round to sorting it out..

  • @Clairebikecity as do i, ive been trying to get that good for years but i know i know i dont stand a chance lol

  • @Fishmonger1966 id second dat!

  • Hey

    lovely stuff!

Any ideas what drum he is playing? Looks like a Hedwitschak, but I am not shure...

    Thanks

  • Seamus O Kane according to the album inlay, but don't quote me!

  • Hey

JJK plays different makers, O'Kane, Hedwitschak, Alfonso among others. This particular drum I have never seen before, def. no one of the ones mentioned above.

Thanks for your brilliant videos btw.!

  • Actually, it's not a hedwitschak, but a brendon white bodhran. He used it when I had a lesson off him. It's a bit different for a white bodhran, but it is definateley a brendan white

  • @tesa1123 RWE???? i think..

  • Brilliant as usual - just the best!
