Why don't they add the State of Nevada? (UNLV and Nevada) There right next door to all the PAC-10 schools and also have the same size enrollments too (bigger crowds). They could make a North and South division and have a championship game.

the pac 10 would never let in two other teams that could possibly be a threat to usc. we all know usc is the only real college football team in the pac 10. and by letting in two other teams, that would make usc's schedule tougher than the cupcake schedule that it is.

The PAC-10 needs to get some extra teams. That could help the PAC-10 get more teams in bowl games as well have four or five ranked teams, instead of the usual three. The "every team play each other" always screw up the PAC-10 teams in the Top 25

byu or failing that utah and colorado. tv market, research institutions and academic rankings, tv markets, tradition,large multisport athletic budget, recruiting area. we wanted the texas market but all we can get there is tcu and tcu fails a number of criteria. we will have to keep a higher amount of in conference games and games against at least one east coast (or traditional) ooc bcs team unlike the acc or sec. we can make up with WAC/Big Sky cupcakes and fly some Sunbelt teams in.

They might want to consider UNLV as a serious candidate. It is in a fairly large TV market, fits the geographical footprint, and is an excellent travel destination city. Granted the football program needs a little work, but throw some BCS money at it and it would be respectable. UNLV is on a serious up swing in b-ball.. UNLV also has some other decent sports programs. Not only that, it is the premere academic institution in Nevada.

No way. Why would all 10 university presidents vote to give some of their money to 2 other schools? There aren't any viable candidates, the last 2 schools offered conference membership were Texas and Colorado. The reason to add teams is to increase tv revenue and recruiting grounds, not to give the mid majors a chance at being in a BCS conference.

Add Byu & Utah to the Pac-10 north with, Wash, Wazzu, Ore and Ore St. Then Cal, Stan, USC, UCLA and ASU, Arizona in the south. Play all 5 divisional opponents and 4 of 6 in the other division.

Each team plays 2 regions in the other division and misses 1 region.

Example Cal doesn't play the Washingtons year 1, the Oregons year 2, the Utah's year 3.

Washington doesn't play the Bay Area teams in year 1, the LA teams in year 2, the Arizona teams in year 3.

its never gonna happen if it is the only team they would even consider taking is byu, because the pac 10 would only take a team with history, money, tradition and facilities. Hawaii doesn't have that, fresno hahaha pac 10 would never take them with their history of getting in trouble. Boise is a one sport school, Utah possibly maybe could get in. But i think the best choice for all these schools is Boise, Nevada and UTEP joins the MWC and then it should be BCS, UTEP cuz they have facilities

This is what I have been saying for a while now. Add another BCS conference essentially. I think you picked the right teams for the conference. Boise State, Nevada, UTEP, Utah, BYU, TCU, Hawaii, and possibly Fresno State. That would make a good strong conference. And I think that would be a strong enough conference and should earn their conference champ a lock in to the BCS.

If this were to happen, BYU, Hawaii, Fresno St., or Utah would be the most likely candidates. You have to look at the entire athletic program instead of just one sport. All four teams generally field strong teams. Like in basketball, volleyball, baseball, etc. Other than football, what else is Boise St. known for? No disrespect towards the broncos.

Not gonna happen. What the better MWC, C-USA, and WAC teams should do is create their own BCS conference (8th BCS division in the country). western states are underrepresented by the current system. I propose a nine or ten team conference to even things up for these kind of schools. Come on---if UConn, Minnesota, and Baylor get to play with the big boys, so should these teams:

Boise

BYU

Utah

Hawai'i

Fresno

TCU

UNLV or SD St.

Wyoming

Houston
