For windows 7 go to organize at the top of the folder, then folder and search options, then the view tab. There you should see the show hidden files etc.

this completely works on windows 7 and thnx a lot. but just a word of warning. do not enable disk use with ipod plugged in because itunes automatically syncs ur ipod and will erase some of ur songs

@EnKweed This only works for non-iPod Touch and iPhone devices I'm pretty sure. Search for something similar, only with iPod Touch instead of just iPod.

Try opening iTunes first.

I know this is going to sound pretty mellow-dramatic, but my computer did that aswell, so I had to download Touch Copy, which I was originally going to use the free trial to transfer music instead of this method, but the trial only lets you copy 100 songs free. Anyways, so if you open Touch Copy, it'll make sure that your iPod is recognised as an iPod, and at THIS point, you can search in your explorer for " F: ", and it should work. (:

Had a little trouble at first with adding the files to itunes but I found that I had to put the hidden files music into the "Automatically Add to itunes" folder so that I could transfer the music and get the actually names of the songs. But besides that little mishap this worked great!!! Thanks!
