King is a good, a very good horror writer (although he has written in a lot of different genres), I enjoed some of his books, but he's no immortal writer.

I don't know if Blatty is, but he certainly is on a whole different level than King, and a higher one for sure.

well i cant feel the emotion for that person cause the sacrifice was unnecessary, we don't need salvation cause there is no such thing as sin, plus Christ is a mythical character and not an original one

William Peter Blatty is such a great author and screen writer!!! Though Stephen King has tried to slam his work, he needs to be very thankful. Blatty's work paved the path and opened countless doors for the horror genre. King's first big success was even marketed for the already strong audience intrigued by Blatty's work, a post Exorcist slogan with "A Girl Possessed of an Evil Power!"
