First of all as a Muslims it is your duty to respect the Christian and a person of the Book. Secondly, there is nothing shirk, kufr or otherwise about this practice. Zikr or Dhikr is the remembrance of God and the Sufi seeks nearness to God. If God were to punish these men witjh hell-fire for even a misguided practice, albeit one aimed at loving him, then he wopuld not be Allah. And this is because Alla is the MOST merciful and MOST benevolent, not the MOST angered.

@artistdigital Muslims in my place never practice this kind of ritual. The pray quietly, read the Koran n stuff. I think this ritual is impractical (sorry no offence). Too noisy and the ritual is too long . The Muslim's call for prayers in my place is also loud but its short and nice. If these ritual is practice is Scandinavia, Imagine how the surrounding neighborhood will react.

To all the negative comments...let's make it clear...they are not praying or worshipping God...it is a celebration for the coming of the prophet (mawlid)....just need to ask if anyone knows how did the the people of Ansar welcome the prophet.. in terms of shariah...there were no women present, they use hadrah ...so before we judge these sufis...we should first ask ourselves about the knowledge we have about them...I find it disturbing for fellow Muslims lambasting each other

Personally Im not practising sufi-islam but yet still I think people have to respect each other. I do not know so much about sufi-islam so I can't just say it's shirk or something like that. Muslims(whether, Sufi, Sunni or shia) should unite today! Put your differences aside and be like brothers! Many muslims in this world have kufar Christians or Jews as neibourghs and they can live together without any problems.But many muslims who are neighbours kill each other or hate each other!

Everyone who is commenting negatively: Ever heard of the phrase "Divide and conquer"? It's a tragedy how muslims are killing and hating on each other, just because they have a set of customs and rituals that are abberating from the so-called "average muslim".
I do not belong to that group, but I do believe that muslims should form a unity and overlook these differences, because focusing on differences is what made (and still makes) Shiites and Sunnites kill each other like there's no tomorrow.

@artistdigital Muslims in my place never practice this kind of ritual. The pray quietly, read the Koran n stuff. I think this ritual is impractical (sorry no offence). Too noisy and the ritual is too long . The Muslim's call for prayers in my place is also loud but its short and nice. If these ritual is practice is Scandinavia, Imagine how the surrounding neighborhood will react.

I don't do Zikr this way, but doing Zikr while running or jogging with arms and legs moving is not against Islam. Similarly they are doing Zikr their way. Unusual but Islam does not ban cultural expression. It is culture. Nothing wrong as long as it is not in Masjid.

ThHow can they be shaytan when they are Ottomans when our Prophet Muhamad S.A.W mentioned them that they are a great nation? The Naqshbandi were there before Sultan Al Fateh storm the gates of Byzantine. Indeed this people are the sufis of which Prophet Muhammad PBUH are mentioning.
