Gracias Gilberto por esas noches de bohemia en Yauco, y el "secuestro" de aquel pavo. caray, parece que fue ayer. El pobre cura que solo nos alumbro el palo donde se encontraba el pavo, lo transfirienron.
Gilberto Monroig (nacido el 2 de julio de 1930 en Santurce, Puerto Rico - fallecido el 3 de mayo de 1996, en Santurce, Puerto Rico) De padres campesinos, creció escuchando bomba y plena, música típica de Puerto Rico, también escuchando los tangos de Carlos Gardel.
De joven amaba cantar, imitando a Gardel, su música tomó otro rumbo cuando su padre le regaló una guitarra. A la edad de 14 años, formó parte de una banda llamada Conjunto Maravilla.

@juron76 That, my friend, is class, and singing while holding a cigarette is a real jewel. Unfortunately nobody does this these days, but I am a singer and I always like to hold a cigarette while singing. I grew up watching this marvelous man and he is my idol! You dig?!
@70sman4ever I did not say anything to offend no one here, I just said it is wierd seeing someone singing why holding a cigarrette.....but if I was watching this video is because I like his music.
