I wish I had at least KNOWN I had a problem when I was 21 - I may have been able to lead a much more fulfilled life if I had!

I have borderline Aspergers (31 on the scale) so Im not as limited as some people on here, but this kind of thing CAN happen to you (nearly has for me a couple of times), but you have to meet the right girl under the right circumstances & you need to be brave to explain fairly early on what the issues are, so that they can understand... Just watched this movie, I found it really good.. I didn't know about this syndrom, must be so tough to live with it, but there are so much worst things in this life.

This is the best movie I've ever seen. My brother has AS and Hugh Dancy is the best actor I have ever seen in a film. He portrays a young man with AS so brilliantly, simply because people with AS are brilliant. For example, my brother can do his 9480 times tables and onwards, he has a mind like a human sponge and uncommonly kind. Yet he has his faults, he cant look people in the eye, poor social skills and can sound very rude. But he is brilliant, along with this film!
It's probably a bit childish but the novel "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" by Mark Haddon really opened my eyes to Autism and Asbergers, I strongly recomend it, cracking read!

My boyfriend and I are both aspies, and we're blissfully happy. I'm very sorry that you're not, but it is possible to have a happy relationship in real life while living with Asperger's. Just have a little faith. Not in a higher power if you don't believe in that stuff, but faith that life gives a lot of second chances for those who look for them.
Asperger's does exist, but it can be hard to diagnose.Everybody makes social mistakes, misinterprets social cues/signals,etc.Nobody is perfect socially.A lot of nondisabled people have AS traits.Asperger's is when you have several AS traits and those traits challenge and impair you in ways nondisabled people aren't.A lot of nondisabled people have obsessive interests like space.

@magicprophecy Are there not organisations which you can join where you can meet other people with Asperger's syndrome and at least be able to relate to eachother at some level without feeling judged or as awkward. It's just that I get the impression that you miss not having friends and feel lonely and there must be some preliminary steps that you could take to try and resolve some of your problems. People do give a crap about people like you, I give a crap, you just don't realise that we care.

@magicprophecy When I saw that you were from Hungary it occurred to me that (no offense) it may not be a particularly 'progressive' country in terms of understanding the more sophisticated or unusual debilitating conditions such as Asperger's syndrome.
Is there any chance that you'd be able to relocate one day to a country where you were met with a better understanding or greater empathy? I'm in the U.K but my dad was Polish, so I appreciate the shortcomings of some Eastern European countries.

@magicprophecy you obviously have some issues with yourself as well as with others if your like this, I don't have Asperger's but I do have ADD, ADHD and dyslexia, and it was hard for me to do certain things especially when your parents are convinced your a "retard" but we have to keep pulling forward. Maybe talk to people that are like you, think like you. Thats what I did and i felt so much more accepted, but you have to also love your gift because we do look at things in ways no one else does

I like to judge movies based on how long after the credits I am still thinking about the film. I saw this nearly two weeks ago on kookíca and I still cannot wait to see it again. You may know the ending before you see it, but you have know idea of the journey that will take you there.

The acting in this film is amazing. With an all-star cast I would not expect anything less, but it really does astound you the way all of the players are in sync with each other. You can feel yourself getting drawn into the movie and this plot over and over again. It's extremely intense movie. You can watch it at kòòkica!!

This seems like a great movie. I have Asperger's Syndrome as well. its very hard for aspies to meet girls who can accept that fact that they are different. I have struggled with Asperger's my whole life. I'm 16, and it has been very hard for me to find girls who can accept me for who i am. Once girls become women they are more understanding and accepting. but at some point in an aspies life, they will meet the love of their life and have a happy future. Aspies find their own way.

This is the best movie I've ever seen. My brother has AS and Hugh Dancy is the best actor I have ever seen in a film. He portrays a young man with AS so brilliantly, simply because people with AS are brilliant. For example, my brother can do his 9480 times tables and onwards, he has a mind like a human sponge and uncommonly kind. Yet he has his faults, he cant look people in the eye, poor social skills and can sound very rude. But he is brilliant, along with this film!

My boyfriend and I are both aspies, and we're blissfully happy. I'm very sorry that you're not, but it is possible to have a happy relationship in real life while living with Asperger's. Asperger's does exist, but it can be hard to diagnose.Everybody makes social mistakes, misinterprets social cues/signals,etc.Nobody is perfect socially.A lot of nondisabled people have AS traits.Asperger's is when you have several AS traits and those traits challenge and impair you in ways nondisabled people aren't.A lot of nondisabled people have obsessive interests like space.

Towards the beginning of the film I had my doubts due to it's semi-lagging pace, but once it sped-up and ended, I realized I just saw one of the best films of the year, thus far. @magicprophecy Are there not organisations which you can join where you can meet other people with Asperger's syndrome and at least be able to relate to eachother at some level without feeling judged or as awkward. It's just that I get the impression that you miss not having friends and feel lonely and there must be some preliminary steps that you could take to try and resolve some of your problems. People do give a crap about people like you, I give a crap, you just don't realise that we care.

@magicprophecy When I saw that you were from Hungary it occurred to me that (no offense) it may not be a particularly 'progressive' country in terms of understanding the more sophisticated or unusual debilitating conditions such as Asperger's syndrome.
Is there any chance that you'd be able to relocate one day to a country where you were met with a better understanding or greater empathy? I'm in the U.K but my dad was Polish, so I appreciate the shortcomings of some Eastern European countries.

However, everybody is different. I'm living a happy life and glad to be a part of this miraculous existence known as life. Whether you are too or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is what makes YOU happy. YOU create and alter your own destiny.

The acting in this film is amazing. With an all-star cast I would not expect anything less, but it really does astound you the way all of the players are in sync with each other. Well worth seeing movie. It has a deep intensity which keeps you close to the story.. The finale involves one of the most violent shoot outs in the history of cinema, I could say. This seems like a great movie. I have Asperger's Syndrome as well. its very hard for aspies to meet girls who can accept that fact that they are different. I have struggled with Asperger's my whole life. I'm 16, and it has been very hard for me to find girls who can accept me for who i am. Once girls become women they are more understanding and accepting. but at some point in an aspies life, they will meet the love of their life and have a happy future. Aspies find their own way.

When someone like me watches a movie that leaves me with alot of questions about what happen to the characters, it is going to bother the hell out of me. Looks like a good movie, but I was worried at the start. In the last clip, this was surrounded by horror movie trailers and the selection to the right is packed with more horror movie trailers. Would that worry anyone else?

this seems to be a lovely movie.
this guy remind me of sheldon from the big bang theory, but not so annoying as sheldon. even through im a big fan. ;)
