Thanks alot. 740il is giving me the same problem. I am a woman so I know it's going to cost me alot to take it in. I think though that my motor in the trunk has been removed. Daughter slammed instead of letting it down easy for automatic catch. Was trying to open it from inside.Can see into trunk from back seat, Can't climb through. Broken rim. Need to get in. Trunk error message and unable to get into trunk for a year. God bless RevCynthiabaker53
Oh, sorry to hear that. But can you open it by inserting the key in the trunk latch? BMW are beautiful but little delicate. I wish i could help =( Unfortunately mechanics take advantage of woman. But take it in to a mechanic shop just to see if they can get it open for you and might not cost you if is something simple.
