This is probably my favourite speech ever. I love U2 ( since 1981) and love 'The Boss' too, but forgetting all that, you just have to stand up and applaud someone who puts this much effort into a speech for friends and gets it so so right.....

Bruce gave an incredible speech, too bad the band wasn't worthy of it.

I used to like U2's music, until they shoved it down my throat every minute with commercials, etc.

I have no respect for them now, they are the biggest publicity whores!! They will put their name or faces on anything!

I understand where you're coming from I don't get U2 anymore either, but it's not our band we have no say.

We have the lyrics and the way our favorite song made/makes us feel.I discovered October when I was 21-22 years old .I remember thinking how could this man Bono describe my life and how I felt being so far away and as it turns it he said he wrote that album for kids 21-22. An Apple commercial can't ever diminish that feeling of connection. I hope you play the old albums and remember.
