I found the country version, but i remember a lot of prominent country bands covering pop hits. For example, Alabama did a cover of God must Have Spent a Little More time on you by 'N Sync.

This is a cover of the US #1 Country song by Terri Clark (you tube it).

It was written by Paul Begaud, Vanessa Corish and JD Martin. Begaud and Corish have written lots of hits including "Dare To Dream" the Olympic Games song from Sydney. (You Tube it too)!

just a correstion for your argument. mytown did NOT continue under a different name, the original band disbanded in feb 01. end of story. It was in fact several years later when mark and Dan again decided to peform as a unit once again havving spent several years writing and recording mainly for other people. The Script is a completely different band which happens to have two members of mytown. when DiCaprio and Winslet did another movie together they didn't call it Titanic did they?

mytown is not defunct they just changed their name and their sound and a couple of the guys left..these days they are called the script...they have a hit song "breakeven"

well they do exist they are just now called The script...if u look up the script wikipedia it sais active as mytown from 1996-2001 and as the script from 2001 to present..
