nah i dout an elbow on the head or top of the head kick would kill. A knock out, yes. In vietnamese traditional martial art, there are alot of elbows and knees. An art call binh dinh has all of that plus hook like in boxing, chopping. The thing is all these arts are family owned and they dont show to outsiders. Plus they dont have the kind of publicity like from a movie thats why people know muy thai and assume things look like that are muy thai.

how come you say everything in here is muy thai and johny is doing muy thai in this movie? do you know the differences in all of the martial arts? Tony Ja is a clown. Its all about looking good.show me a proof of muythai can kill in a real combat.Muy thai is more of a kick boxing sport.Here they used vovinam...a form of martial utilized all of the deadly moves from shaolin karate taewando and binh dinh..vietnamese martial art. The fighting in this movie is real.Unlike ongbak is more acting.

This was a great movie. I loved the story, action, and the romance. Never a dull moment.

Might be the Best Vietnamese movie w/Martial Arts I've seen so far. Of course there were a lot of fancy moves, however, those are the ones that sells movies, not the grotesques and gore that could have been displayed. I liked it. I give A+ to all the actors, producers, and choreographer. :) excellent!

Yeah johnny may be skilled in actual combat and i know size dont matter cause bruce lee is the best example of that, but johnny is still small to be going up against a more muscular and fast mma fighter like cung le and mma match is a lil more rigorous than a taekwondo match. I still would be interested in seeing johnny vs cung le though
