  • Omg...cute..i want a bobcat!

  • Omg people it's a bobcat not a Siberian Tiger!!! If you can't fight it off you deserve to be mauled... Grow up pussies!!!

  • He could tear your face off, but instead he rubs it. What trust!!

  • Thats one big kitty.

  • For those who say this is a "Lynx", please elaborate further as to what type it is...is it a Eurasian Lynx, Canada Lynx or the Iberian Lynx...as I was under the impression that "lynx" was the name give to any of the 4 lynx genus species of medium-sized wild cats...For those who say it's not a bobcat, what makes your statement fact vs the person who uploaded the video? Just asking, so don't get all butt-wild with your replies!

  • Tuff looks at the camera and says, "the hell dude? you're recording this? I'm outta here" Haha :)

  • I have seen plenty of bobcats all through out central oregon. I don't shoot them they pose no threat. And i kind of like watching them. However cougars scare the hell out of me. They well be watching you and you well have no clue.

  • Beautiful animals... especially when ALIVE, HEALTHY, AFFECTIONATE, INTELLIGENT, and NO bullet holes!!!

  • know what your own pet is, that's a Lynx not a bobcat

  • @fatguyaaron You should not write comments when you don't fucking know what your talking about. Bobcat is a lynx idiot. Bobcat or species name lynx rufus is a north american cat . Also the bobcat genus is called lynx so your not very smart. Don't be talking shit about north westerners.

  • @fatguyaaron yeah, and a rainbow trout's scientific name is salmo truta, that doesn't make it a salmon, it just means it's in the same family. Same with the bobcat/lynx connection. no need to get all pre-pubescent about it.

  • @fatguyaaron you still don't know what your talking about "sigh" okay. Salmo truta is brown trout smart guy. Rainbow trout often called salmon trout and its species name is Oncorhynchus mykiss. Really did i say family i said genus.

  • @TheZacoff Latin names aside, "bobcat" and "lynx" are common names given to two distinct subspecies of the lynx genus. And they are quite different in appearance, size and behavior. Their ranges seldom overlap either. That was not a "bobcat". The size, coat and coloration are dead giveaways. I had a bobcat as a pet. That is a lynx in the video.

  • @gvman3670 yeah i know i was mistaken i was fucking with that guy though

  • that freaking awesome man!

  • Amazing. I love the guy for being kind to it (instead of trapping it (in leg-hold traps) to make a buck).

  • that's so cool how he greets you!

  • nice dog

  • Beautiful cat, I'm truly envious. How did you get to be friends wirh him? Did you feed him as a kitten? I own a beautiful 20lb Maine Coon named zeus. He was the runt of his litter too. His grandfather Big Mac is or was between 27-32 lbs Both cats were truly gentle giants & all muscle. Thanks for sharing this with us. If possible, please post more.

  • Tuff needs to cut back on the chocolate bars a tad. Sick the dogs on him and run some of that fat off.

  • @Gbridges1000 Yes, since siccing the dogs on him will totally increase their bond and friendship right? That will definitely help

  • @Riverweasel09 Bond and friendship? How tender. Hey, let's sic the dogs on you instead, you know, to give the cat a break. I bet even you could run with a pack of poop eatin' dogs on your much oversized and under- exercised ass!

  • @Gbridges1000 Wow, you know so much about me, now don't you? I can run two miles in under 14 minutes and am close to being viewed as having too little body fat at only 12.8% (males my age should have between 12 and 18 percent). I've been in the army for over two years and do an hour of pt five days a week. But hey, you know about my life a hell of a lot more than I do.

  • TO: weasel ears ... I bet you can run 2 miles in 4 minutes and 28 seconds with a pack of dogs chasing your fat ass. Oh, and my dogs love poop. You're toast.

  • He looks a little on the chubby side.

  • AMAZING. You are very lucky. Beautiful animal.

  • the lynx of the video its not a lynx rufus, seems like a canadian lynx.

  • looks more like it a Lynx than a bobcat, but cool never the less

  • @terrabeg

    bobcat is lynx rufus

  • @terrabeg you're probably confusing a bobcat(lynx) with a cougar(mountain lion/puma)

  • @dbbigdaddy actually, lynxs and bobcats are two completely different species. A bobcat has black on the top of the end of his tail, while a lynx has the black all the way around. A Bobcat also has white underneath his tail. The animal in this video was a bit too far away for me to tell for certain, but he looked like a lynx. I would also like to point out that while this animal seems happy, most big cats like that do not enjoy life as a pet, and keeping them as one is highly frowned upon. :)

  • Could this fracture your skull with one swipe?

  • @dantescritic Lynxs are not quite that strong, though they can certainly do some intense damage, which is one of the reasons that keeping a wild animal like that as pet is frowned upon. However, this animal was not cooped up in a house and looked to be quite healthy and happy, so it is not likely that he would attempt to attack his owner. You can never be too certain with large cats though, as they can have nasty temperments

  • Big motherfucker.

  • That is a BIG Bobcat. Thanks for the video.

  • that thing is huge.

  • cute bobcat, looks like he eats at mc donalds everyday though.

  • Daww, he's camera shy..

  • You see people, you don't HAVE to kill all animals on site!!

  • he's huge!!! ive never seen a bobcat that big....

  • Lynx not a bobcat

  • @Tripp42 thats what i thought but its paws dont look big enough

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that's an amazing pet. And he does look tuff :)

  • He i like heya! and rubs noses and then when he looks past him and sees the camera and runs off its like he all lovey and then he is like omg your ruing my image!

  • Looks like a Canadian Lynx rather than a Bobcat.

  • BITE HIS HEAD OFF

  • Thats freakin awesome!!

  • where did you buy it

  • That is fucking awesome!

  • looks more like a lynx than a bobcat, but a beautiful animal none the less!!!!

  • That's beautiful man

  • Are bobcats always that big?

  • Hes fat but good a good lookin kitty

  • Cool. But is he only a "one man cat" or is he friendly with other people?

  • dont you think its bad to get wild animals to trust people?

  • @lookout11569 I do. :( Very risky...both for people and for the animals.

  • that is the coolest shit ever man. I want a pet bobcat!

  • He is sooo beautiful!

  • What a beautiful animal, man! You're so lucky!

  • Man! I wish I could pet a bobcat!! He's awesome!!

  • Is Tuff still around? He's such a cutie pie!

  • awwwwwwwwwww

  • One of the few movies not about killing animals..

  • Awww he's HUGE ! So Beautiful!!!!

  • did you find him in the wild? or did you buy him? The wife and I are planning to get a serval ..... I want a bobcat!!

  • now this is a fat cat! :D

  • Magnificent animal

  • lol, my cat greets that way too

  • and thats why u got your face eated

  • that is a fat bobcat/lynx

  • ..i'm a cat whisperer and the touching heads is feline greet ... lucky you .. notice he waits for you to move towards him first before he moves towards you to greets you .... a sure sign he respects and see's you as boss

  • Wow that cat is massive! I bet he/she could take any dog out.

  • and then he eats your face off.

  • @TheNarchives lol that would be funny

  • They're wild animals... but many of the smaller cats will respond well (the younger the better) to human socialization. In this case, size matters. A mountain lion (aka puma, panther, cougar) or the African big cats, can, if need be, see us as food. The smaller cats (or some small canines, like coyotes) don't look at us and get the munchies. A "scratch" from a big cat tends to suck. Bobcats show traits similar to the European wildcat (f. sylvestris) -- ancestor species of our domestic tabbies.

  • @MacLeamh It is in fact more likely our domestic cats are closer relatives to the Ethiopian wild cats as opposed to the European wildcat, which is far more difficult to domesticate. Though if it's true, that would be wicked. I've never seen one of the European wildcats, though, which is a shame as they're apparantly a stunning sight to behold.

  • @CandyCrayon91 -- Apparently the European wildcat is nearly extinct or limited to parts of south-eastern Europe that I can't pronounce. But I'm fascinated by these Bobcats -- and am projecting, no doubt, and see identical behaviors (the "warm eyes" double-eye-blinks (winks?) in my Abbie (Abbie Hoffcat... sorry) the orange tabby tomcat (who can really lay one on if playing to frantically). And the bobcat trained to piss (and shit, too? please?) in the can... there now, tha's a guid kitty.

  • @MacLeamh Nyehe, I wish that were still the case for our elderly cat, Midas - He's 20 and very senile, he doesn't quite remember -where- he should do his business, and thus just does so where-ever he happens to be when he has to go ;)

  • Wow beautiful. This is how everything should work in our lives. Many of people wouldn't act like that for example. The cat realized that he won't do any harm to her and she came without bad intentions. Great video.

  • I love that you named him "Tuff" and not "Tough". I grew up on a dairy farm and had tamed raccoons, possums, squirrels, bats, toads and a bobcat named unimaginably, "Bob". (Hey, I was 8 years old). I treated them all with respect and got respect back! Anyone who is freaking out about "Yeah, well...they'll eat you in your sleep!", keep reading!

  • He seems somewhat uncomfortable with the camera. Well, a weird, dark-eyed cyclops staring at you constantly ought to be quite unsettling...

  • Where you at in couve?

  • Awe ! that's so sweet and Cute!

  • So, they're like the size of Australian shephards? That's really awesome.

  • Absolutely beautiful.......And FAT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a gorgeous animal

  • i called in a domestic cat once and popped it right over the shoulder with an arrow, watch the video on my channel

  • Beautiful video. We live deep in the woods and have black bear, cougar, bobcats, deer, elk, coyote [They just got done singing as one joins another in a wonderful melody]. We also boundary a wildlife reserve. An eagle will sit in one of our trees near our house. Humans many times are the trespassers on wildlife terrain.

  • i raise bobcats and other exotic animals in oklahoma and have had and still have some big cats. that is one big bobcat. it almost looks like a lynx. cool video though. they know who treats them with care and respect and they will love you for that.

  • its fat but still cute

  • That is one majestic cat!

  • big and fluffy!

  • spellbinding, one of my fav

  • Magnificent critter.

Hope you can keep him away from the "real men" and their guns.

  • what a fucking idiot, bobcats are wild animals

  • Someday we'll see this guy on the news when that cat mauls him to death...

  • Wow very animal friendly

  • He's on roids!!! Lol, So beautiful!

  • that's about as tame as they get. That is an awesome site though.

  • where can i buy a bobcat??

  • is the bobcat legal in norway??

  • thats one fat bobcat!!!!!!

  • what a flabby bobcat.

  • I love how suspicious he is of the camera

  • So cute. I want one. Gonna need a bigger bed.

  • it looks like a lynx

  • @vosa135 thats because bobcats are a smaller type of lynx that can sometimes be tame

  • Large and in charge...i wouldn't fuck with that cat!

  • that is a beautiful thing you got with that beast

  • he walks like a gorilla

  • Now that is amazing! The cat was checkin out the camera.

    Do you feed it sometimes?

  • thts a fat bobcat!

  • biggest bobcat I've ever seen.

  • You know you're tight when you can greet each other with a head butt. Reminds me sort of The Little Prince taming the fox (or vice-versa), "if you come at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, then by 3 o'clock I shall begin to be happy". Love the way kitties can walk sideways.

  • w.o.w

  • Geez that thing is HUGE.

  • hes a cutie

  • Comment removed

  • that is so sick i wish i had a pet bobcat

  • wow man looks liek a fuckign house cat on steroids...i wish i can have one..so sick man how it just runs to you like that we don't have those here in Brooklyn lol

  • wrf,,u so lucky got 1!!

  • Bobcats are part of the lynx species, however this is not a C.Lynx. Its def a bobcat species I believe specifically the North Western Bobcat.

  • BIG! that is a lot larger than the other bobcats that I have seen on youtube. I love it.

  • hey super cat ... iam looking to get me one of those when i get my new house when iam back from afghanistan is this one wild or dit you pet him from a kitty let me now if you can get those from a breeder

  • Trunkscn, yes lynx is a classification, But this is a Canadian lynx, the bobcat is "lynx Rufus" so don't argue if YOU don't know what your talking about, there are 12 varieties of lynx although the bobcat does not hold " lynx" in it's name, which refers to the larger varieties, in which their is one north American native... This guy, the Canadian lynx

  • is a mt. lion a cougar?

  • i don't think so

  • mountain lion and cougar are the same thing!

  • Yes it is, a very nice Canadian lynx, bobcats don't have the tufts on their underside and neck, only the side of their head, and tend to be more lanky than the lynx, and they only reach around 20-30 pounds, with a few abnormal exceptions, as well as the foot size, which is larger on a lynx, but even for a lynx, this is a large one... For a Canadian lynx anyways

  • kinda looks more like a lynx

  • are bobcats illegal to have as pets in California?????

  • damn, and i thot my 11 pound cat was big...

  • Thats really cool man!

  • I love cats. You're very luck.. Does he live outdoors, or in your house? Do you feed him, or does he go out hunting?

  • You're so lucky!

  • This is indeed a Bobcat, most likely a Northwestern Bobcat which is approximately the size of a Canadian Lynx -- they have been documented to grow larger than even this behemoth. An indication that it is not a lynx is the hind legs -- the lynx has proportianately longer legs and the bend in the legs is more pronounced because it hops on its prey.

  • How adorable! I love how he picks up the pace and starts trotting over to you real quickly when you squat down. He's glad to see you. You handle him well, letting him "lead", so to speak. You respect him and that is why he's made such a great pet.

  • thats neat

  • wow

  • true they can be a domesticated over time..but I doubt 100% tamed. Look at Hurricane Katrinia... did not take long for nice domestic dogs to turn into roving wild packs...that's over 30 thousand years of supposed "domestication". Wild horses another great example. Even Dingos. Yes they can be re tamed.. but animals that have not gone through this domestication process can revert. Love your bob cat by all means, just don't bring a child with a steak tied around their neck to the cat.

  • @equarg ya u can get bobcats as a pet, but u hv to take it to teh vet or somewere and get shots for it and then like train it so it doesnt attack u

  • @prokravmaga54 well its still a wild animal and it can turn on you no matter how much training its had =P but it would be cool to own one for awhile <3

  • @TheAnnonymousGirl ya true but im talking about if u get a small one, its not exacly a bobcat, kinda is, but they dont even need training, my friend has one, its a mix with bobcat it has a tiger fur texture to it, its like onyl 2 and each time i walk in his house it attackes me by the legs it hurts like hell

  • @equarg Im sorry, but I just understand what train of thought would lead anyone to believe attaching meat to a child's neck is a good idea. Can you explain this to me, please?

  • @niteoftherealm

Its an old expression about "vicious dogs and children that I modified......But there is a true case where a mother in Yellowstone decided to smear honey all over a child's face so she could get a cute picture of a Grizzly bear licking her sons face (a bear was near by).

Thankfully a Ranger saw her do this..and she told him her plan...and he stopped it. But the kid was traumatized by the incident...... So meat around the neck is not too far off.....-_-

  • @equarg "Supposed domestication", huh? Sure, dogs were wandering around in packs, as a survival instinct, but they are in no way as viable in the wild as they were before domestication. If domesticated animals could completely revert, then the opposite would also be true when you take in a young, non-domesticated animal. Domestication has changed their behaviors over time, despite what you think. Humans, too, are pack animals, and can behave just as savagely.

  • @ns12123

I agree with you with you about humans reverting...we are pack animals...and we can become really dangerous. Just watch two different groups of soccer hooligans going at it.

Personally I was "attacked" by a group of kids when younger and when asked why they attacked me...they responded "because else was doing it". To this day I don't trust groups well and tend to be a loner. People are scared of dogs, wolves, cougars, ext.. As a deer hunter give me a rabid animal over a madman anyday

  • @equarg Agreed, it's pathetic that people can act like that. Some kids I knew growing up were very rational and kind by themselves, but then became savage and destructive once around their group of friends. The only thing that kept them in check at that point was fear of punishment. Humans aren't superior to other animals; we're merely more intelligent. Although, most comments on youtube make me question even that aspect.

  • @ns12123 We have a wild pack of dogs about 50 miles from where I live. They were released by ignorant owners and you do not want to be near them.

  • Very nice. And that's definitely a Lynx, a few things give it away. Its size, tail lenght, and the longer side wiskers. I had a pet bobcat, but gave it to family members when I moved into the city.

  • Thats not a Lynx, its definitely a bobcat. You can tell by its face and its stride.

  • Thats awesome, about how long have you had her? It is a her right? I know the description says him but it looks like a her to me.

  • OMG I WANT A PET BOBCAT. And who cares if its a lynx or bobcat. The title doesnt matter deuschebags, just the video. Go lynx your asshole.

  • best post.. lol.

  • yeah would u take a bobcat over an M5 lol

  • As I hunter I love cats and would never shoot one ( unless rabid) That was sweet, I think I saw a red collor... but be respectful. It's a wild animal not a pet..... I would love to see a wild one....But I would respect it by keeping my distance and just watching...

  • All animals started out wild. Any animal can be domesticated given enough generations.

  • big cats are the only thing that I could never hunt, killing them should be a crime, the fact that you could go your whole life and never see a wild mountain cat proves how awsome they are like ghosts, using dogs to( tree) them and shoot them is cowardly and week,if you could stalk and track one by yourself that would be more fair.

  • @davetileguy ya i agree i mean i will shoot a cat if it comes in to my varmint call but i don't use dogs to use find them

  • @davetileguy Uhh... Killing them IS a crime. And it is a law I quite agree with.

  • @drunkasssteve Bobcats are legal to kill in most states. Bobcats are protected in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and most of Kentucky. And Dave was talking about big cats in general. Hunters travel all over the world to kill all kinds of animals.

  • @davetileguy why would you hunt anything

  • @ceilingkatt< to eat

  • "Lynx" is a genus classification, of which the Bobcat is one of the species. I love people debating when they have no clue. Google is your friend.

  • amazing! i think it's a Lynx though

  • i am a hunter and would never shoot one of these magestic beasts unless they attacked which is unlikely.but they are cool to watch when you stumble accross one or it stumbles on u..and just watch them stalk thier prey i need to get a cam to take on hunts and get some cool wildlife video

  • and post them here so we can see them, of all the time I have spent in the back country all I have ever saw of any of the big cats is their tracks ( aka their poop, paw prints and the cascaras of their meals). I would like to see a bobcat in its natural enviroment with my camera at the ready (still)

  • This is in fact a Bobcat. - Hes Huge!!!

  • Wrong.. this IS a Lynx

  • A bobcat is a small species of lynx. I've seen a lynx and they get a good deal bigger than that, they're even known to hunt deer.

  • Comment removed

  • omg i want one so bad

  • im thinking about getting one but never thou they get that big i had an idea of the size from the outdoor farm zoo here in oklahoma that we have but never seen one that big...good video

  • Very cool!!!! Thank you for not killing it. Such awesome animals don't deserve to die.

  • very beautiful. wouldnt his size indicate that he is actually a lynx? didnt know bobcats got that big.

  • He's a beast! ha, very cool.
