Wouldve been better as an instrumental with that monster opening, but IMO among EBM, synthpop, dance, electronic, and industrial genres my fav is Assemblage 23, with ties from vnv, neuroticfish, and stromkern. Also, they need to just frikin make a more encompassing genre cuz vnv makes some debatably synth pop songs and some EBM songs, cuz honor 2003 is def not synthpop

They did not INVENT the genre you fecking moron. I just think that although they maybe the most popular band who make this kind of music they are not the best. I think if you look back through the history of this kind of music you will find that Nitzer Ebb and Front242 were the pioneers. Know all knows fuck all

Front 242 are said to be the pioneers of EBM. Front 242 has been my favorite band since 1986. I've only known about VNV for about 7 years but definitely a fan. Especially after seeing VNV live!
