Although i do not doubt the symbolism is there, I find both V for Vendetta and The Matrix very inspiring movies which we can learn from and both act as good reference points for me personally. This makes it rather confusing as to the aims of the film makers. That said it's possible that the more enlightened of us can see the positives and learn from them while millions others use them to discredit us. for example "ah you've just been watching The Matrix too much if you believe that" Peace!
