I'd say the only people winning are people not involved. Our soldiers are dying, so we're not exactly 'winning' their civilians are dying, so I'd say that they aren't winning either. Gas prices are still going up, so obviously oil companies aren't doing too great either. I forget the source, but it's a good lesson: sometimes the only way to win, is to not play at all.

And AQ was had no significant prescence in Iraq until late 2004.

2 years later from this the war is not over but America is now drasticaly winning it will all be over in maybe a year or two and less likley 3, the fact is we ARE winning and Obama will not end the war because one he is a liar and two he will see how close this nation is to victory. The only time troops get killed is in tiny fire fight against like 7-8 or so guys or by bombs, violence is down 80%. The number of US troops that have died in this war don't even come close to the amount of regular civilians that die in car accidents in a year.This war has not been going on a long time. In the Civil war I think that it was general Lee who lost 60,000 men in 1 MONTH, and I don't think that any war is good but in this war we lost around 5,000 troops in 5 years, I don't think that either is good, but people didn't won't to pull away from the war becasue Lee lost 60,000 men in one month, but when in five or so years we lost around 5,000 (Which I also don't like) but now people won't to pull out just so that another crazy dictator can take over and start another fight with the US.

I'd say the only people winning are people not involved. Our soldiers are dying, so we're not exactly 'winning' their civilians are dying, so I'd say that they aren't winning either. Gas prices are still going up, so obviously oil companies aren't doing too great either. I forget the source, but it's a good lesson: sometimes the only way to win, is to not play at all.

In the Civil war I think that it was general Lee who lost 60,000 men in 1 MONTH, and I don't think that any war is good but in this war we lost around 5,000 troops in 5 years, I don't think that either is good, but people didn't won't to pull away from the war becasue Lee lost 60,000 men in one month, but when in five or so years we lost around 5,000 (Which I also don't like) but now people won't to pull out just so that another crazy dictator can take over and start another fight with the US.

Have you not read American History books? Americans fought for their freedom, now we are fighting for another country's freedom. Yeah, I have some great sources. See, I am in the Missouri Army National Guard and I have friends who have been to, or are in Iraq; they are my sources. Like I said, Iraq is still a violent place, but MUCH more secure than it was in '03. I know he never said the US troops are bad guys, but others on this comment board have.

They did thuroughly trounce the Iraqi Army in the first gulf war. If it wasnt for media attention and the subsequent public negativity for the Highway of death, during the retreat there wouldnt have been much left of the Iraqi army. Bush Pulled back the reigns because he knew that Urban fighting in Baghdad would have been a lot more costly, since it takes away our tech advantage in the open. Iraq was out, so Op. Desert Storm was success. Also you know Indurgents are not Iraqis.

Morality has no place in an argument about the validity of a war. War is killing, and killing is not moral. You also dont need an education to know that sometimes the fastest way to be excused from the table is to eat your vegtibles. Its not an unrealistic argument to say "get it done and overwith." All this arguing between Democrats and Republicans isn't ending the war sooner. Because we are bi-partisan the gears of government have ground to a halt, and men are dying for it.
