There's been "dark" music ever since the classical period. But the Misfits started what is horror-punk. I don't consider Calabrese horror-punk though. More horror-rock.

This is my first coming across theses guys and I have loved the Misfits for over 10 plus yrs. THis is the coolest, most hard, horror punk band, I have seen in a long time. Cant wait to see them in CHI Town.

@notoriousBXC as much as i love misfits, i can honestly say, this genre may have still came about sooner or later in time...you do have to consider, SAlice Cooper started a shock rock theme in the 80's for the metal and hard rock genres. so sooner or later, punk music could have started this genre either way mate.
