  • True Autism is genetic and its prevalence is about 1 or 2 in every 10,000 kids.....the new epidemic of "Autism", which occurs in about 1 in every 100 kids is not "Autism" at all; it's a NeuroImmune disorder, in which the NeuroGlia of the brain are chronically activated and shut-off blood flow to the temporal lobes and cerebellum (see John Hopkins research)....If we ever want to make progress as a country against this new epidemic of "Autism"; the 1st thing we need to do is stop calling it Autism

  • If it wasn't for autism genes, we'd probably still be living in caves or at least the horse and buggy era.

  • i have done endless autism research... and i think i might have the answer... autism is not present at birth.... it is developed in the first three years of life... thats when the human brain developes... if something messes with it... autism happens...

  • Interesting philosophy, one I have not heard of before. I thought I detected some disbelief or disagreement in your tone though. What do you feel is the potential cause?

  • I've have a question. Is it true that Autistic people generally have larger than average heads? I've seen this on the internet a few times. Thanks.

  • Affirmative. Large heads containing large brains (an AS brain behaves somewhat more like a computer in that it mainly stores data, this is because it is heavily decentralized, each lobe having it's own mass of white matter connecting to a somewhat shrunken corpus callosum, meaning that the lobes act a bit more independently of the others, this accounts for the awkwardness and obsessive nature of AS phenotypes).

  • sometimes. not always.

  • oh and look at star wars/trek all future and autism it is just evolution no more joking just serious stuff and realism we are smarter then we understand we all do it ourselfs and not god or do i go to fast

  • That's the spirit! You nailed it all down perfectly.

  • and is there such thing as fore programmed evolution or do we evoluate on what we do now in that case is is not strange that we get autistics wer on the computer taking things straight and programm orden and we want that so why is autism a problem

  • this is the best video i saw about autism and how deep can you go? is it made to discuss about or just take the facts and deal with it like accepting. why would evolution make diseases like cancer just to select what is good and what has to ban and what is autism? a disease or not and why do autistics 'survive' if you look at the surviving of the fittest theorie?

  • ofcourse for everything is a good reason.

  • I'm ambidexterous & I've Asperger's. I can read ppl's faces, I just find most ppl's shallow talk boring and prefer to han out with my deep thinking interesting autistic mates who are also obsessed with creating stuff like films, books, art, poetry, fashion, animation and theory of physics (love my physics). Basically, stuff that matters. And caring about animals and children. The rest is all tosh, especially wars and pursuit of riches for the sake of it. Have no time for that or folks like that

  • I totally find myself in. thanks who is crazy I mean autistics see the trueth the rest is dancing around and having 'fun' while autistics walk ont heir toes to belief in the lies i'm sorry but this is how i feel.

  • Autism IS genetic & I'm glad I'm Autistic. I absolutely love being an independent thinker, have a lot of creativity & stamina to bring my exciting projects to fruition, I love being intelligent & a quick learner & I love my obsessions, love being oranised, love having a beautiful tidy house with tasteful furnishings (I put things together cheap but it looks like from interior design mag & I dsign it myself). I love looking after my kids even though I'm not good at playing but I love to clean

  • In our family tree, there have always been a few very shy individuals in every generation that never married. Our older son is Aspbergers. He seems to be in the range of genetic inherited traits.

  • Great video

  • Thanks again for your research!

Your theory reminds me of a principle in Islamic creed regarding devine decree.

We believe that God is good and there is always some greater wisdom or good in His decree. What may seem difficult for some, may actually reveal some greater benifit later. Either for the the individual, or for the society as a whole.

So we believe it's always good to be patient, and thank God for whatever He brings us, and know that there is always a greater good behind it.

  • If nobody in someones family has autism how come some children have it anyways?? It is not genetic then if nobody in the family has it... right??

  • You can carry genes, and not have it

  • if they don't have classic autism doesn't mean they don't have Asperger's. Just look how obsessed some parents of autistic has become with the false belief that mercury in vaccines caused their kids autism? That obsessive compulsive pursuit of something proven to be false but with them still not letting go... that's autistic, man! I'm like that with my obsessions (thank God mine are to do with art and music, can't make a boob out of myself there). Autism bring obsessions, it's a fact.

  • Tony, where are you???

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Of course, I think you are referring to Asperger's or so called "higher" functioning individuals.

Personally, I don't believe a difference that adds a strength and a weakness should NOT be viewed as a disability. It should be viewed as a difference.

Being good at one or more things is an advantage to being average at everything. The critical factor is that the person must be functional at their weakness.

  • HERE'S SOME ANSWERS. ASPARTAME-VACCINATIONS- MSG- DRUGS (all types)CHEMICAL FOOD ADDITIVES- PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OILS- BAD NUTRITION-CHLORINE AND FLUORIDE IN DRINKING WATER, AND YOU'VE BEEN LISTENING TO BULLSHIT PROPAGANDA FROM THE MEDICAL/ PHARMACUETICAL COMPLEX. LISTEN BUDDY, THEY WANT US SICK TO SUCK OUT LAST $ BEFORE WE DIE A PAINFUL DEATH.

IT'S SCIENTIFICALLY ORGANIZED GENOCIDE. DO THE RESEARCH. IT'S ALL ON THE NET. SARDONICUS

  • lol, oh and let me guess... the twin towers were knocked down by bush and man never landed on the moon?

  • If you would stop writing your comments in all caps, people just might take you more seriously. If autism was genocide, then the government is doing a horrible job at it since autism has nevere killed anyone.

  • Also, another reason why we don't have all "good" traits is that what is "good" now may be useless in a short evolutionary time period, and by then the gene pool would be too homogenous. That's one reason why eugenics doesn't work.

  • I really like the idea and have been thinking about it myself.. but at the same time, why are there scizzofrenic persons too? An theory I have is that these persons, beside their weak points (schizzo, AS) can act/operate "normal" which seems vital.

  • khmaz a schizophrenic person may take what is subjective as objective reality(It's not and but a possibility). Things that have a possible truth become absolute(poor logic). then I noticed that they have little control over their extreme states of mind. A difficult break up in a relationship can cause such an extreme mind state in any person or PTSD is one. Often there is a certain social masochism. A schizophrenic is their own worst enemy. Watch the secret and think about it magnified.

  • If you are the parent of a child with Autism, you should also understand this genetic archetype has a flip side. Many Autistic kids come WIFI enabled so to speak.

My mother asked me why I drifted off in class and didn't pay attention or respond to the teacher. My answer was that it was like a portal opened in my head. An odd answer but a good description for a child.

  • Both my autistic children have this, it accounts for the "otherworldly/faraway look". I share their emotions and I get images in my head of what my non verbal son wants. I usually think in words so images arent something I usually think with.

  • I believe that rise in autism numbers is deliberate. I believe that mankind is evolving or developing their awareness especailly with advent of the net. Its shared thought or telepathy. The heavy metals toxins in environment are actually attempting to stop this evolution target the "pineal gland" and "effectively stopping the joining together of the two hemispheres of the brain.

  • I believe that eventually we will stop using verbal language and connect mentally. The rise in autism cooincided with the appearance of the indigo/crystal children. The flouridation/chrlorine/heavy metal/chemtrail spraying with metals and pathogens are deliberately

  • trying to hold back orstop this evolution hence why so many autistics are forced by the system/society/educators to try to be "normal" and I know the intense anguish and emotional pain forcing my non-verbal son to do something because hes expected too.

  • I was making electronic circuits at 4 and soldered together a burglar alarm at 5. How is it a child that can't read can learn without a teacher or knowing how?

  • Most likely it evolved indirectly because its genetic underpinnings code for other traits (i.e., by pleiotropy) whose beneficial effects outweighed the costs.

  • #1

The concept you are looking for is called Pleiotropy. Where one or more genes (networks of genes) code for an array of different functions. Your video was really good! That's really what 'autism' is about, in many instances I'm certain that lower functioning autistics have hyper skill specialization or possibly time-delayed growth/maturity factors that stretch out over longer periods of time.

  • Some people are AMBIDEXTREOUS you know.

  • Sometimes I feel I am the only person thinking about this type of thing. Thanks for this.

  • I saw him on the TV show "Know The Cause" hosted by

Doug Kaufmann with a website of the same name

knowthecause dot com. He has for decades been informing that autism and most all autoimune inflamitory diseases are "systemic" fungal deseases.

Treat autism as a systemic fungal infection like

  • Dr. Kenneth Bock will cure it, end of story to autism. He specializes in it. He treats it as a fungal infection. Just go to 4-ahealing dot com click on "doctor referral". Get his DVD on the subject at healingautismdvd dot com.

  • Oh yeah the other thing is that there are statistics that show the the rate of Autism in the Silicon Valley is "SLIGHTLY" higher than the national average but the "per capita" rate alters that statistic so it is debatable about the numbers. There is noe thing that lends some credibility to what he says and that is the fact that NC (Raliegh Durham to be specific) has a similarly higher rate and there are many "Geeks" in that area also.

  • Piven has yet to show that these affected parents have skills which might get them to silicon valley. For all we know these parents may be no "better" than typical parents. Asperger observed otherwise, but I am waiting for results to show the "lesser variant" is good. Then I could feel better about myself.

  • Piven is almost right the only problem is that these parents do not want to actually get tested for Asperger's because there is too much discrimination out there in the world for them to carry that label. When they were growing up there was no Asperger's Diagnosis available and they would not have met the criteria for Classic Kanner's Autism.

  • I have always asked the question where Austism end and people begin

  • So you don't think of an Autistic as a person?

  • Tony, I like your videos, very informative and personally interesting. Here are my thoughts:

No mutation is purely good or bad although most spontaneous mutations are bad, and no adaptation is universal there are always trade-offs.

The fact that aspies tend to obsess about given subjects and sometimes find a useful or even sociallly beneficial outlet for them shows that this can be an advantage, despite the attendant handicaps.

  • I completely agree.

  • Interesting.

  • Genetic mutations will continue to occur, maybe moreso in our toxic world. Survival of the fittest no longer applies to the western world. Also, the "fittest" no longer means physically stongest and most virile. Mental and emotional abilities matter more today. Otherwise, the construction worker would still be king.

  • I agree that the environment has changed so much that those who survive and reproduce may not be those who we consider most "fit." It's hard to say what we humans may look like in the future.

  • Not long ago i cought a documentary about the Huns tolerance of "weaker" individuals bringing them great advances in war technologies..Perhaps this is the type of bridge that helped us retain and further propagate certain genes to this day.

  • caught not cought ...argh

  • This is what my old Biology teacher said (she is now the head teacher of the Communication Disorder Unit in my school). Cool theory- makes sense.

  • Thought provoking comments. On a more negative note, you could also argue that the evolutionary process stopped working all together on western man 50 to 100 years ago. In other words, there is no longer any culling from the herd and genetically weaker stock is now allowed in live a full lifespan. A few hundred years ago, most human beings did not make it to the age of maturity.

Males chose spouses for completely different reasons today so the Silicon Valley theory probably has some truth.

  • I hear that humans are still evolving. Some new gene but not all of us have this gene.

  • I think men remain attracted to women who appear fertile - young, shapely, etc. Smart and sexy is best. Female attraction is pretty complex, and success means a lot. Couples have always married spouses of similar intelligence.

  • I personally think many things are lumped together in autism.

Are autistic genes are very very old??? perhaps a gifted thing added to the brain? the difference between the genius and impairment could be one of cranial pressure from inflammation. hint hint.

  • Perhaps a toxic environment is causing problematic immunological reactions to something well balanced to the human immune system. Remember you body is a temple does imply a congregation. Why would good health be important? check cytotoxicity.

  • I'm very familiar with Piven's work and I believe he is on the right track. Are you familiar with Manual Cassanova's work? He is perhaps, in my research, on the right track and will unlock autism first. Evolution in humans always begins with the brain.

  • great vid. i personally dont believe in evolution and certainly not that evolution had a master plan, that only replaces the word 'god' for 'evolution'. but for sake of arguement, the notion that autism should be gone due to evolution presupposes that the evolutionary process is complete in humans and we are the end product which is kinda arrogant. not saying you believe that, im saying the theory is arrogant.

  • who's to say that in a million years evolution will be complete and there will be no more autism? in other words that evolution is in the process of getting rid of autism? i dont believe any of that though. i believe that mankind has always been the exact same and any fossils showing differently are different humanlike animals that existed. but they arent us. thought provoking vid though!

  • thanks for watching my vid. True. Perhaps evolution is "getting rid" of the genes. But I think more likely the genes are "stable," not to say that they will never change. But I like the idea that the spectrum is more than a disease, that it offers some special features to the elegance of civilization.

  • Yes..."getting rid"...ie,natural selection.

  • You DON'T believe in evolution? Hmm- I've always believed in the theory of evolution.

  • absolutely not. talk about quacks. every time they find something new they have to revise the theory. and if you want to expose some real loons take a look at the archeologists. do you know that they will raid each others 'digs' to try and steal the bones to steal the discovery? its insane. they need to make outragous claims to keep the public interested in order to get funding. lunacy.
